Located in a quiet neighborhood at the Lake, close to Tahoe City and the major ski resorts Alpine and Squaw Valley, Northstar and Homewood, this recently remodeled modern Dollar Point home is very spacious and stylish. The split 3 level, 4BR home has an open living/dining/kitchen area with 18 foot high wood beamed ceilings and large fireplace, as well as a large family and game room with a foosball table, an electronic dart and many board games. You will also enjoy the 2 new flat screen TV's. The nice kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, plates, and silverware – ready for you to cook in and share your meal at the large dining table with family & friends. We also have a large Weber BBQ grill and comfy Crate & Barrel outdoor furniture on the deck.

About Hilde Kraemling

Originally from Germany, my husband Markus and I (Hilde) have been living in the San Francisco and New York since 2004 with our two 6 and 9 year old children. We are easy going, down to earth and humorous people who are into sports, like to spend time outdoors and love pets.

Why Hilde Kraemling chose Dollar Point

In 2012 we fulfilled a longtime dream and bought and remodeled a beautiful 4br, 2400sf house in Tahoe Dollar Point which allows us to spend time with friends and family while having fun at the lake. Though Lake Tahoe is mostly known for it's world class skiing and the Olympic ski resort in Squaw Valley (yes, we love that too!), personally, we almost enjoy the house even more during the summer since there are so many things to see and do besides skiing.

Tree Top Adventure Park (zip line and ropes obstacle courses), fly fishing, crawdad fishing, biking, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, boating, fishing, golfing, river rafting, horseback riding, swimming, mini golf, tennis

What makes this chalet unique

Our house is very cozy yet it has a clean and fresh feel to it, we like that it is not the typical dark brown 'rustic' cabin you can find so often in Tahoe.

The extremely quiet street and large property are ideal for kids to play outside, build snowmen or ride their bikes. Watch your kids play while you relax on the deck or read a book in the tree hammock!

Good to know: The house has a driveway that could be considered steep. We strongly encourage anyone renting this property during the snow season (Oct 15-May 15), bring a 4-wheel drive vehicle or always carry chains.

About the prestigious Dollar Point Association and neighborhood:

Located on the lake side of the highway and with great sun exposure, Dollar Point Association offers some of the best amenities on the Lake. A beach pass grants you access to the private beach, with pier, picnic tables, BBQ, beach volleyball, beach chairs, umbrellas, and to the pool and tennis courts.

The house is only one block (few minutes walk) from the private Swimming Pool with Diving Board and Tennis Courts. Large Pool Deck area with Patio Furniture, lifeguards on duty, and swim/tennis instructors. Babysitter lists are available at the pool.

Bike paths and trails are abundant in the area and start right at Dollar Point. North Star even offers a bike lift for downhill. Hiking trails are endless and beautiful.

Lake fishing companies operate out of Tahoe City if you don’t have your own boat. Kayaking, boating, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, beach volleyball, fishing and crawdad fishing are popular at the private beach.

Best weekend getaway in a long time!!

I recently went with my husband on a weekend getaway as a surprise for a good friends Bday. My friend set up all the plans and I looked at the pics online. I was so scared that when arriving it wouldnt be the same, but I must say this place was absolutely beautiful! I am a full time wife and mommy and this was the nicest place to get away from it all! It had all the needs from home, but the calmness was priceless. The house was clean and well kept but the way it was furnished and decorated made it comfortable to be in like home! The neighbors were very nice, and the security system(Rex) best thing by far cause my husband was scared thinking a dog was going to get him haha... by far great place to stay! Cant wait to make plans for the future. Told my inlaws about it and they are already wanting to plan a trip this summer! Loved it Loved it Loved it!!

Perfect for our family gathering!

This home was perfect for our yearly family gathering! It is even more beautiful in person. It comfortably slept five adults & two children. Each of the four bedrooms were spacious and decorated beautifully. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space in each room to properly unpack. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and baking. This was our first trip that did not require a trip to the store for some random cooking utensil. As a Nespresso owner, I can not tell you how happy I was to find they even had a Nespresso machine with several strengths of coffee pods. We really enjoyed the wrap around kitchen counter during meal times. The kids loved the playroom. It was had plenty of games, movies, and seating. My favorite space was the living room with the fire pit seating area. This seating feature was really unique and simply perfect for sitting next to the fire with a glass of wine. The home is less than five minutes away from the grocery store and a short drive to Alpine Meadows. Our family was very pleased with the location and the quality of the home amenities. We hope to return next year!

Beautiful house with a lot of warmth!

We had a blast! This is a beautiful house with a lot of warmth. 3 levels of sitting area in front of the fireplace is a special treat for family time. Loads of board games, dart board, foosball in a separate media/game room for quiet fun time away from the kids (or for kids away from the parents :). Rooms are comfortable with luxury beds and beddings. Kitchen is stocked with everything you may need, and you might even get lucky with some bottle of wine! Host was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early as we got there early and she did not want us to freeze in pouring snow :) All in all, great fun family time at a beautiful Tahoe location!

Great location - super cozy and stylish house

This is a beautiful home located right outside of the heart of Tahoe City - our favorite place on the Lake. The location was great - close skiing/sledding spots and also to town for quick errands, but far enough that it was quiet and secluded feeling. The interior was super cozy and stylish, with a BBQ on the deck and a fully appointed game room on the ground level to keep the adults and the kids entertained. One of our favorite aspects about this house was the main living area, which was an open floor plan and easy for everyone to cook and hang out throughout the day. We also liked that the game room was far enough away from the bedrooms that the adults could watch TV and have fooz-ball and dart tournaments while the kids slept, without worrying about waking anyone up. Hilde was friendly and super responsive to any questions we had, and the instructions for arrival were very clear. The house was spotless and well-appointed, even down to a package of replacement heads for the darts--they thought of everything. If (when!) we return to Tahoe, we will definitely try to stay at this lovely cabin again.

We just returned from a beautiful weekend and would give this house the highest rating possible. The home was lovely, a nice mix of modern and comfortable.
