We had a blast at the cabin last weekend. Saw 6 elk coming out of the neighborhood, and the views are gorgeous! Cabin is beautiful, clean, well kept, and we were very well informed from the owners. Pictures are absolutely spot on, and the hot tub was great to relax in after a long day hiking. Huge thanks to Julia for opening you home to us, we had a great time, and can't wait to stay there again! Picture below is a rainstorm that came by Early Sunday morning about 615am.
Oh my goodness - WOW!!!! We just can't say enough about this cabin/home! First off, we were blown away by the breathtaking surroundings driving up to the cabin. When we opened the door - we were all in awe by the beautiful décor. Folks, let me tell you that this isn't just "another rental property". This is the owner's beautiful vacation home. A place to get away from the rat race, serene, tranquil, beautiful. The hot tub was also a great way for us Texas Chili Cooks to end our day. This home has a wrap around deck with hot tub that is stunning. Julia, the owner, is so totally wonderful. To describe her is to say that I feel like I have known her for years. She made our trip one that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you Julia from the bottom of our hearts - Your friends forever, The Texas Chili Cooks - Facebook "Chili Con Carnies"
First, we had a great time in the cabin. We did have a few minor issues; The people who stayed prior to our arrival or the care taker of the home never bothered to check Chlorine in the Spa. The water was turning a nice green color the day we arrived. We were able to locate the chlorine tablets (there were a few in the cabinet)and get the water clear again.
In our next stay we will bring our own cookware. The skilets have seen beter days. The teflon ones look as if a person used a fork and scraped most of it off. The pot that one would use to cook pasta looked as if something was growing in the bottom. It has been burned on the bottom inside and I would not cook from it.
If you take a trailer such as for a quad be ready for some fun. The road is narrow and the driveway is barely wider than the average vehicle. Made for some fun times when backing in at night.
The cabin is not as large as the photos depict.
This seems like a bad review, I don't want it to be that way, just keep in mind if you go take some Chlorine with you or be ready to drive to Payson to buy some and take your pots and pans.
For what we were doing the cabin was fine. After hiking up and down the rim country all day the spa was nice to come home to. The cabin was clean when we arrived.
Our family cannot thank Julia and her family enough for opening their beautiful home to us. I would not have wanted to spend our Thanksgiving anywhere else. It felt as if we were at home, not on vacation. We have made wonderful memories here and hope to make more!
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin in Pine. The cabin was very comfortable and we were able to enjoy the fantastic views. The owners of the cabin were wonderful to work with and were very responsive to emails.
We had and amazing time. The cabin was beautiful. My kids enjoyed playing games and going on hikes. I loved the hot tub and the views were awesome. The weather was perfect we will be back next year. :)
On a side note my son was really looking forward to playing the wii and it was broken. When you put in a cd to play it said not readable and the wii needed to be troubleshooted. So I think it was the disc reader that is broken because the wii would turn on but it just would not read the games. Just wanted to let you know for the next guest.
