Fantastic value, located on the best part of the island!

Located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood on the East end of the island, the property is just a block away from a clean, quiet beach that puts Grace Bay to shame. It's also only a couple of miles from the marinas where many of the excursions and ferries depart from.
Although the bungalow only has one bedroom, the common area (kitchen/dining room/living room) is spacious, and the outside deck and screened porch provide even more room to spread out and enjoy the weather. The house stays cool; most of it is in the shade. The interior is tiled, and there are screened windows everywhere to let in the breeze. If that isn't enough, there's always "Mr. Slim", the powerful remote controlled air conditioner.
A local cellphone with $10 of airtime is provided should you need to make calls locally, but the wifi is reliable and fast, so you can use Skype as well (which is especially useful for calling home). The kitchen has enough utensils, pots & pans, dishes, glassware etc. for most cooking needs, just bring your own groceries!
Our rental experience could not have been any better. It's a quiet and relaxed setting, and a different type of experience than the resorts. You can enjoy your vacation on your own terms. In short, this is the perfect place for a "do it yourself" vacation. While staying here we felt less like guests, and more like owners! This is a good thing.
