The luxury condo has every amenity including beautiful decor, travertine floors, granite kitchen, washer/dryer, and a huge terrace overlooking pools and Sea of Cortez, perfect for whale watching. The airport is in the San Jose area (not Cabo San Lucas) so handy to everything!

Our family lives in Dayton, Ohio, and we have owned this beautiful home in Mexico since 2001. With two adult children, we love having friends and family here and enjoying this very special place in Mexico. John is a graduate of The Ohio State University. We redecorated in 2012. It's perfect!

The peaceful, spectacular view of the Sea of Cortez -- plus the sound of the waves rolling in -- made this a perfect spot. We love being at the San Jose end of the 'Cabo Corridor' (Cabo San Lucas is about 12 miles away), where the restaurants are fabulous and there is a thriving art community. It is safe, quiet, pristine -- recently called 'the safest spot in Latin America' -- and handy to everything! And, depending on the time of year, you can watch the whales migrate into the Sea of Cortez right from the terrace.
We are the first owners of this property, and designed it to be our home. We have brand new flat screens TVs with satellite service; top-quality American appliances and beds; quality in every detail. But it is the view and location that make this place so special.
We are still glowing from our recent holiday in San Jose del Cabo. The condo in the El Zalate villas was nicely decorated and well provisioned with most of what we needed for the week in terms of linens and kitchen gear. We spent a lot of time on the patio overlooking the lovely pool/garden area and the beach. Listening to the waves crash at night was a magical experience! We did not have a car and found it easy to walk 20 minutes to Mega for groceries, or just a short walk to Trader Dick's for drinking water and sundries. Taking the buses around town is inexpensive, easy and fun. The property manager helped arrange transportation to and from the airport and also told us where to pick up the bus (by the way, the property manager's office is located at the top of the hill above the security gate, in a building located adjacent to the highway). We enjoyed dining at Osteria during the Thursday night artwork in downtown San Jose del Cabo, and also enjoyed Guacamayas restaurant (San Jose) and Roasted Taco in Cabo San Lucas. We would definitely stay again!
We truly enjoyed our 10 day stay at El Zalate. Everything was shipshape, the view is wonderful, the pools a perfect temperature, and the beach gorgeous. We especially enjoyed sitting on the patio just relaxing and watching the waves come in.. Very peaceful.. Jim H.
Our adult family of 5 stayed at El Zalate over Christmas and everything was excellent! We took the public bus from the airport and it dropped us off right across the street. Amazing view, weather, short walk to mega store, easy access, clean, no worries vacation. 2 swimming pools and hot tub, lots of chairs to sit around the pool and nobody to harass you. The condo is decorated very nicely, we would definitely stay there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at El Zalate. The unit was clean and ready for us. It has beautiful views of both the pooln areas and the ocean. It was a very relaxing complex to stay at. We could barely see the after effects of hurricane Odile. There were soome windows in units still boarded up, but the grounds were well on their way back. It seems to be a well maintained complex, that the owners should be proud of. There was a lot of damage to nearby complexes and businesses, but those to were being cleaned up and being readierd for visitors. The beach area was AWESOME! A beautiful complex and a beautiful unit that we very much would recommend to everyone. Thanks for your hospitality.
This is a great place if you want to get away from the noise, very private condo, good size bedrooms, we loved the tub in the master bathroom, we almost have the pools just for us... We would love to be back soon
Complex and unit are ideal for adults wanting to get away from it all. It was exactly what we needed. Being on the 3rd floor you have privacy, and a super view. Quiet, wonderful access to the beach, not surrounded by large hotels with noisy 'night life'. The unit is ideal for two couples with plenty of deck area for dining and two large bedroom areas with private baths. We love to cook, the kitchen was well equipped and the ability to walk to the Mega store for groceries was great. Well-maintained, clean.
This spectacular condo home is directly on the beach in the beautiful San Jose del Cabo area, a picture-perfect Mexican town with a thriving art community. Great restaurants everywhere featuring traditional Mexican and wonderful coastal cuisine. Two pools and a hot tub are right on the beach. We are also in the heart of the most fantastic golf area of Latin America -- near the legendary Palmilla and Cabo del Sol courses, and many many more. A golfer's paradise. Also home to the Bisbee 'Black and Blue,' the richest bill fishing tournament in the world -- because of the fantastic deep sea fishing here.
