Villa Emmy, Meganissi, Greece
Review Submitted: November 12, 2009

Meganissi is as close as someone without a real command of the Greek language can get to the 'real' Greece. Katomeri is a very pleasant, friendly, working village. Villa Emmy is a deluxe 2 bedroomed villa on the edge of the village with stunning uninterrupted views of 2 bays, 3 headlands, the sea and the mainland mountains.
Bathroom, separate shower-room (with loo), fully fitted kitchen, large well furnished sitting area, lovely patio and pool. All facing the above views (and peaceful, quite countryside.)
The owner and her Mum and Dad (who both live in the village) are unbelievably friendly-we felt like part of the family.
Getting to Emmy could not be easier. Flight to Preveza on the mainland, taxi transfer to Nidri on Lefkada (45 minutes), 40 minute ferry crossing to Meganissi where the owner meets you and drives you to the villa.
Don't come to Meganissi if you want noise, action, nightlife etc. Do come if you want enchantment, an island to fall in love with, peace, quiet and a bit of real Greece.
And I doubt there is anywhere better to stay than villa Emmy.
We will be returning- there can be no better recommendation.
