Hi, we are Toby and Emily Chandler. We were both born and grew up just outside of Greenville, SC and still reside in the upstate of South Carolina. Toby owns a heating and air conditioning business and Emily is working to complete her master's degree in history at Clemson University. Of course, we love to get down to Beaufort every chance we get and take some time to relax and enjoy the beauty!
Emily Chandler purchased this house in 2012
We love the Beaufort area and have vacationed there for many years. It has a wonderful, calm, relaxed atmosphere and offers so many of the things we love - boating, the beach, history, great food, shopping, and such wonderful people! What's more, it has all of the charm of Charleston without the traffic and rush! One day, a friend of ours who is a realtor told us about this property and we went to see it. After a trip out to the dock, we were sold. Since then, we have spent as much time there as possible, and hope that you too will get to see what an amazing place this is.
This house is located just 15-20 minutes from Parris Island and is very convenient for families attending Parris Island graduations. Located just minutes from Beaufort, South Carolina, it is also close to many fun things to do. Beaufort offers a variety of family-owned shops and boutiques and excellent restaurants with small-town southern charm! You can also take a tour in a horse-drawn carriage, enjoy a ghost tour, or walk through Historic Old Point to see many antebellum homes which have been featured in a number of films including Forrest Gump and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Another must-see, the Frogmore community on St. Helena Island where the Gullah culture comes alive in shops and restaurants featured in Southern Living. Finally, Hunting Island State Park offers a unique, natural beach that takes one back to what America must have looked like when Columbus first arrived!
