House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)

Perfect weekend getaway home for 1-2 couples. House is surrounded by fully landscaped open gardens and looks out onto the vineyards of Carneros. The house features two bedrooms (both queen size beds), a living room with wood burning fireplace, a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. Outdoor patio includes furniture and barbeque, which sits amongst fully landscape and open area. House comes complete with Flat Screen TV, wireless internet, complete kitchen, clothes washer and dryer. Although our climate is more temperate than the surrounding areas, the house has both heating and air conditioning.

About Don Simon

House sits on larger parcel with includes our home. We have lived in the area for over 30 years and think this area is one of the best Napa has to offer. Particularly the weather.

Why Don Simon chose Napa

This is a great house for one or two couples, who want to get away from the Bay area for the weekend. The home is on a country road and yet has great access to all that Napa offers.

What makes this house unique

The Carneros Inn is just 2 miles away. The Napa river is even closer. This is also a great area for bike riding, either within the bike lanes or even through the vineyards. We often go to friends wineries on our bikes. A great way to enjoy the day.

Carneros District is in both Napa and Sonoma Counties; and, the home is almost equal distance between downtowns Napa and Sonoma. Access to the wineries in both areas is easy. Don’t forget, our district of Carneros, sports some of the top wineries of California, known for Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Bicycle riding in our area is also very popular because of the relative safety of our country roads. It is quite common for bike riders to ride through the vineyards to visit many of the local wineries. Property is very close to great wineries such as Etude, Acacia, Ceja, Mckenzie-Mueller and Domain Carneros Wineries. The property is also very close to the Carneros Inn, which has two great restaurants: The Farm and The Boonfly Café. Drive time to downtown Napa is about 10 minutes and Sonoma about 14 minutes.

Lovely home nestled in the middle of Napa wine country. We had two couples and the accommodations were perfect, never felt crowded. The home is updated with all necessary amenities to make for a comfortable trip. Don was a very gracious host and gave very detailed instructions for everything a traveler needed to make for a pleasant stay. Very peaceful setting across the street from a lovely vineyard. The home is an easy 10 minute drive to Downtown Napa. Great home and I would definitely stay here again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
