We live in the Mts. of So. Cal. and get snow, often wishing for tropical weather. My Husband's in the Film Business which is very hetic. When we started this endeavor our chidren were small.We bought this property tore down the old house and built this New one. Our Children are now in college and High school.We love this area and it brings us great happiness when we are here. It allows for peace and quiet in a busy world.No one has ever lived here only in short vacation stays; for us,our friends and families. We now want to share the Ohana Magic with You. Come and enjoy!

This property sets in a sleepy neighborhood, it is quiet and is in a great location, close to everything but not caught up in the rush. Also it is on the Mountain Road that leads to Waimea an old cowboy town that must be visited.This place: Kapaau/Hawi has a very spritual past with many historic sites to see nearby.

What makes this house unique

This house has sweeping views of pastureland/ocean in the back yard. You see cows, sheep, horses, goats,chickens pheasants all outside at different times of the year.And of course if you come in the spring you see all the new babies.A Very relaxing view,oftentimes you see Maui and marvel at how close it seems.Usually a little rain in the afternoon gives us a beautiful rainbow sometimes a double! Right in the back yard. Also the views and the Trail at the very end of the road at OPololu is to experience Hawaii at its best. The view and Scenery is Breathtaking.Not to mention we have some of the best and easiest snorkeling on the island at the old Mahukona Sugar Mill.And of course the beaches,we are near some of the finest beaches in the World! 5 star resorts and Impeccable Golf Courses.You will never want for something to do. Even if it is just as simple as watching the clouds drift by.

Hi, just want to thank you again, we love your place and the simplicity of it, we are here from Alaska and come to the Island annually. Your town is quaint and restful, we really like being able to get to great spots from here without the tourist feel. Tell housekeeper the place was imaculate and the fresh flowers a nice touch. The location was ideal for our needs. The yard needed mowed, the driveway and carport entry need some work. Furniture was plentiful but something other than patio furniture would be more comfortable for inside relaxing. We did enjoy our time there. Thanks!

Owner's Response: Thank you, We do have a full time gardener who takes great pride in his work, unfortunately he had a family emergency before you came and did not want to disturb you once you were here.Also never had any complaints about any furnishings all have cushions and are quite comfortable,as far as any carport or entryway issues. Stafff does not know what you are reffering to.Maintainance is done every july ie; painting, house washing and such. As clearly stated in info, this is a Zen house, without the trappings of personal items or clutter, with wonderful views and a excellent location for vacation fun.

Aloha, we had a lovely time at your home, the view of Maui, the animals, the beaches and hikes the special little town... everything was great! A little rain but no less memorable, that's was even nice on a tin roof!

My adult family stayed for 10 days in the early fall and had a wonderful time. The house is so nice and has wonderful views. Very comfortable and spacious - great deck for relaxing and sunbathing. The resort areas are all within 30 min to 1 hour (Kona). And it is cooler in North Kohala than near the beach area so it's perfect sleeping weather. WE LOVED IT!
