2 Bedroom 2 Bath Main House and a Studio Apartment

Our beautiful home features a master upstairs with bath and a private patio overlooking the gardens, pool and the beach. The second bedroom downstairs has views of the courtyard and plants with bath in the main hall. The kitchen is spacious and stocked with everything you will need to create wonderful flavors of the area. We created an outdoor cooking area (charcoal grill) for intimate entertaining. The patio outside the main floor is fully covered with a beautiful Palapa roof. Great place to enjoy some shade and just relax or watch the dolphins and whales playing in the bay.

The pool is always inviting!

On the street side of the house, upstairs is a fully furnished studio apartment with bedroom, bath, full kitchen and a private patio with ocean view.

We built our home in 2004.

We worked with our architect and builder to keep a very traditional mexican feel to the home.

We have traveled to many different cities throughout Mexico to furnish our home and add unique custom pieces

We had been vacationing in the area for many years prior to making the decision to build. Having oceanfront property come available was a dream come true! We fell in love with the small town, the people, and the culture of the area. This is truly a slice of paradise!!!!!!

Outstanding. Best HomeAway We've rented so far.

We have high expectations. This exceeded our expectations.This is the owners 2nd home not just a rental. Every detail is reflective of that. Right on the beach, go for a run to either Barra de Navidad or Melaque. All the appliances you need to stay refreshed in customer cocktails, a tile grill for a stay in dinner.A good safe street. The good sized pool is great for families. Her local property manager Frenando can help arrange anything you need.

Tranquility, Wonderful

Everything we could have asked for and so much more. This wonderful home was so tastefully decorated and boast artwork at every turn. Having our own pool was so decadent and the beach just outside the gate was heaven. Fernando, the manager, was super accommodating and Pam made sure we had everything we need. I almost didn't want to comment as I don't want it to be booked when we go to book again.

Unbelievable and best value on the beach!

I was a little hesitant coming to Melaque for the first time, but I was put at ease right away by Fernando, the Property Manager. He was able to direct us to everything we needed and, after meeting the neighbors and other helpful folk, we quickly became familiar with the area. Casa Tortuga itself, was awesome. Plenty of room for more than four in the house and the additional apartment was great for our other two. The apartment was completely private, with it's own kitchen, bathroom, and patio. Awesome views from the patio, backyard, and beach for sunsets and swimming. It was incredible being able to swim in the pool and walk through the gate onto the beach. We were also able to rent bikes to ride or walk to all of the restaurants in Melaque and Barra de Navidad. Working with Pam made it incredibly easy as well. She is a great communicator. We were able to walk around and look at other homes while visiting and we've decided we'll be renting Casa Tortuga again next year! Easy living at it's best.

A Beautiful, Tranquil Get-Away

We have just spent the last twelve days at Casa Tortuga, and it was all and more than we expected. This house has wonderful Mexican charm from the architecture to the beautiful tiles to the obvious hand-picked Mexican art throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the outdoor grill is just outside the kitchen door. It also has a wonderful garden and yard. There are plants everywhere, and the pool is delightful. As if all of this wasn't enough, we only had to unlock the gate at the back of the yard to be on the beach. Every night after dinner we sat on the patio enjoying our wine and listening to the sound of the surf. Fernando, the property manager, speaks excellent English and was very helpful when we had problems with our car. We look forward to returning again next year.
