|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Stay in the heart of the fall foliage this season. Enjoy a yoga class, hike through the woods, or laze with a book and watch the horses graze. Or head out for mountain biking, climbing a mountain, or kayaking in the abundant lakes and rivers nearby. You have use of a full kitchen.
Our family has been taking care of this land since the seventies. Now, Steve & Kristen and their children have built a new house/yoga studio on the property for quests and yoga events. Steve's oldest daughter, Audrey also helps manage the yoga and living arts center that adds an added dimension to the offerings of this lovely location.
When people drive up the road to Bethel Farm for the first time they often remark that it just 'feels good' to be here. The tranquility of the 50+ acres of wilderness around the farm add to the charm and comfort. If you enjoy nature and New England then this is the place for you... and if you enjoy or are curious about yoga than that is a bonus!
The weekly yoga classes held up stairs of the guest home (see www.bethelfarm.org for schedule) this can add a restorative element to your stay. In addition there are many seasonal highlights; swimming in our spring-fed pond in the hot weather, harvesting fresh vegetables out of our bountiful organic gardens through the fall, and in the winter months there are multiple down hill skiing & snowboarding mountains nearby as well as cross-country skiing right out the door!
My family and I stayed at at this beautiful farmhouse for a weekend in late September, and we loved every minute of it. The house and the area are gorgeous. We had an wonderful time making a big feast in the kitchen, and we bundled up to eat our meals in the lovely screen porch. (There is also a really nice big table inside, but we just love to eat outdoors.) Stephen and Kristin and Audrey were warm hosts, and my mom and I went to Stephen's excellent Jivamukti yoga class on Saturday morning. What a treat! I highly recommend a stay at Bethel Farm, and I really hope to make it back there again someday.
Located In The Heart Of Fall Foliage!
A short walk will bring you to the picturesque Gleason Falls swimming hole and stone arch bridge. There are three more historic stone arch bridges (built circa 1840's without mortar) within walking distance.
