Great Place to Stay in Historic Annapolis

  • 5 of 5
This is clean, quiet, comfortable, and comfortably furnished. My husband and I stayed here for three nights, and the location is perfect for walking around historic Annapolis. The instructions and information that were e-mailed to us prior to our arrival were very thorough and helpful in every respect. We always found a place to park on the street, even on a Navy game day. We were within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and a great bookstore on Maryland Avenue. We would definitely recommend this place.

Prime location, comfortable, and clean!

  • 5 of 5
Thank you for a great stay! The apartment is a perfect space: comfortably furnished, spotlessly clean, and well appointed. Excellent attention to detail. On top of all this, it's in a prime location - just a minute walk to Main Street. We're already looking forward to our next stay. Thanks again.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5
Great location, comfortable bed, and nice amenities! We parked in a garage a few minutes away for only $10 a day. We walked everywhere or rode the free trolley. Great restaurants, pubs, and more just steps away. Sailed on the Schooner Woodwind for a beautiful tour of the bay. Definitely will recommend this rental to friends and family.

Has Everything!

  • 5 of 5
We considered only giving 4 stars because the stairs up to the room are a challenge (steep) however we knew this from reviews & still went forward with the rental. It's the price you pay for in city, 2nd floor, living. The apartment location is prime for visiting Annapolis, the extra few dollars we paid for a parking pass was money well spent as there is ample street parking around the unit although they fill up quickly. The apartment itself has everything; a full kitchen with upscale appliances including a dishwasher, large refrigerator/freezer, full size range with electric cooktop, and plenty of cookware & utensils. The washer/dryer are high efficiency, while the wall unit air conditioners provide ample cold air which was a joy after being outdoors in the June heat & humidity. The bed wasn't the most comfortable we'd ever slept in but we rested like babies, so no complaints. The large living room was comfortable for relaxing and had plenty of seating. The owner was also easy to communicate with and quick in her responses to our questions. If there was one thing I would add to this unit it would be some type of shade over the large skylight in the bathroom. The midday June heat warmed that room quickly; otherwise this apartment was perfect!

Owner's Response: Your review title says it all "Has Everything!"
The stairs to the apartment(s)(there are 2 in this building, both VRBO's), are typical of buildings in the downtown Annapolis area. The stairs are in perfect condition, newly carpeted, and there are handrails on each side to assist with using them.
We are glad that you had such a pleasant experience with our VRBO apartment!

Beautiful apartment, excellent value

  • 5 of 5
I organized the rental of this unit for myself and some fellow St. John's alumni for Croquet weekend. The back patio caught my attention as a fun amenity, and I hoped the place would work out for all four of us, despite the fact that it looked small in the photos.

It turned out to be plenty big enough for everyone to sleep comfortably (actually more spacious than it looks here in the listing). It might not work for a family with several energetic kids, but for a small family or a few friends spending a lot of their time out and about, it is perfect. In addition, it was impeccably renovated, very pretty, and extremely well-kept. Everything was very clean, there were plenty of clean sheets and towels, as well as a well-stocked kitchen. Also, there were lots of windows and sunlight, and the patio was, as I had hoped, a great spot to hang out in the evenings.

The apartment is just a short walk from anywhere of interest in downtown Annapolis in one of my favorite residential neighborhoods, on a quiet street lined with blossoming trees. The only minor issue with the location was the lack of convenient parking, but we managed.

In addition, Jackie was very friendly and responsive to my questions, both by email and phone. All in all, a great experience! I would try to stay there again next time I return "home."

Owner's Response: Thank-you for your very thorough and nice review! You have touch upon all of the high points and features of the apartment and property. The apartment is very accommodating, and its location is terrific! Parking in the city of Annapolis can be challenging. There are several public garages available. I am happy to go over parking options with guests, for both neighborhood parking(always a spot within a block of the building), and garage parking.
