Beautiful apartment, excellent value

I organized the rental of this unit for myself and some fellow St. John's alumni for Croquet weekend. The back patio caught my attention as a fun amenity, and I hoped the place would work out for all four of us, despite the fact that it looked small in the photos.

It turned out to be plenty big enough for everyone to sleep comfortably (actually more spacious than it looks here in the listing). It might not work for a family with several energetic kids, but for a small family or a few friends spending a lot of their time out and about, it is perfect. In addition, it was impeccably renovated, very pretty, and extremely well-kept. Everything was very clean, there were plenty of clean sheets and towels, as well as a well-stocked kitchen. Also, there were lots of windows and sunlight, and the patio was, as I had hoped, a great spot to hang out in the evenings.

The apartment is just a short walk from anywhere of interest in downtown Annapolis in one of my favorite residential neighborhoods, on a quiet street lined with blossoming trees. The only minor issue with the location was the lack of convenient parking, but we managed.

In addition, Jackie was very friendly and responsive to my questions, both by email and phone. All in all, a great experience! I would try to stay there again next time I return "home."

Owner's Response: Thank-you for your very thorough and nice review! You have touch upon all of the high points and features of the apartment and property. The apartment is very accommodating, and its location is terrific! Parking in the city of Annapolis can be challenging. There are several public garages available. I am happy to go over parking options with guests, for both neighborhood parking(always a spot within a block of the building), and garage parking.

Close to Everything

My husband and I stayed here for our very first visit to Annapolis. The location of this apartment is so great! We were within walking distance to the water, great restaurants, pubs and shopping. Everything was so close!
The apartment itself provided everything that we needed . . a clean and comfortable home base. Thoughtful touches (bottled water in the frig and a library of movies and games) were appreciated.
Parking was a little tricky. The car had to be moved every two hours between 10 am and 8 pm. There are trade-offs for being in Annapolis . . it was do-able.
I would recommend this apartment wholeheartedly. We chose it for a long weekend getaway and enjoyed having space for the same cost as a hotel room and A LOT better location that most of the hotels in the area.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your nice review of our vacation rental apartment in the heart of Annapolis! We are in a perfect area of Annapolis to enjoy all it has to offer! Parking in Annapolis can be tough, even for folks who live here. You can always find a spot within a block of our building though. It is "residential" parking with time limitations between 10am-10pm(2 hour limit). All of the hotels charge $20+ for parking when you reserve with them! The City of Annapolis has a page on their website that shows all of the available parking lots in the city. One of them is less than one block away from our building!
Hope to see you the next time you come to Annapolis!

long weekend in Annapolis/USNA

Surprisingly nice accomodations, in one of best neighborhoods in the the "downtown" Annapolis area, 15 minutes' walk to USNA. The apartment is one of two, upstairs in a building that houses an architect's office. We did not even have a chance to enjoy the cozy yard in back. The 1-bedroom apartment combines a charming mix of old and new; kitchen and bathroom (with skylight) are bright and updated. No appliance or supply for easy living has been overlooked. Air conditioning is great. Around the corner are canals and sailboats. Why anyone would want to pay the same or more to stay in a hotel is beyond us.

We stayed here over the Labor Day weekend and it was perfect for our needs. The pictures do not do it justice as it is larger than it appears. An easy walk to the Academy and to downtown Annapolis. Very clean with all the amenities of home.

Perfect for a couple, or more!

This was just what we needed for a night in Annapolis, and wish we had more time to stay! We will be back and will stay here, no doubt. Not only was the owner very helpful and easy to work with, but the location (including parking, which seemed stuffy a few streets away) is perfect! We were a VERY short walk to a quite park on the water, and just a few blocks from Main Street and the Water Taxi. Agreed, the pictures don't do it justice. Very nice place and priced just right. Can't wait to make another trip for a longer stay! We may even try to rent the back apartment as well and travel with another couple and some friends!
