Otter Lodge is an imposing stone building set in the valley below the lake. Once the power generating station supplying electricity to the Estate, beautifully restored it is now an elegant and luxurious holiday home. The old generating room is now a large dining and sitting room. The water which used to power the turbines still runs beneath the house, and can be seen through the viewing window in the floor. The water flows out directly under the restored Gothic window. The wide window sill makes a lovely place to sit above the stream. The workshop is now a fully fitted and well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer-dryer, fridge freezer and CD radio, as well as ample cooking equipment. The master bedroom, which is accessed from the lounge, has a king size bed, with an en-suite bathroom with low level WC, wash basin and bath. The twin bedroom is accessed from the main hall along with the family bathroom with WC, hand basin and shower cubicle.
