Cayman Retreat is located in the East End of Grand Cayman approximately a 30 minute drive from the airport and George Town. This part of the island is truly beautiful, the real Caribbean just as you imagine it to be with great beaches and many local spots to enjoy. It is more relaxed than the popular tourist destination of 7 mile beach and only a short drive from great spots such as Rum Point and Kaibo. Compass Point, a premier dive resort, is 5 minutes away, Queen Elizabeth Botanic Park, the Mastic Trail (a great guided walk through the interior of the island) and several great restaurants and grocery stores are all within a 10 minute drive. East End is the real Caribbean in every sense, unspoiled deserted beaches, friendly local people, fewer tourists and a chance to kick back and enjoy life as it is supposed to be lived.
Grand Cayman is one of the top scuba diving destinations in the world but has much more to offer if you are not a diver. Enjoy being right there in the water with the stingrays at Stingray city, take a trip underwater in the Atlantis submarine, try kite boarding or take an island tour in a helicopter, this is just a tiny sample of the many attractions that make Grand Cayman one of the most popular vacation spots in the Caribbean. It is a wealthy island with great shopping, healthcare and education. It is safe with a very low crime rate and driving is easy with a good choice of rental car companies.
