NEW YEAR AVAILABLE Wreckers cottage dates back to medieval times and is one of the most interesting houses in the area. Decorated and furnished by an interior designer with real style the accommodation comprises -Downstairs: good size living/dining room with large feature fire place with two large comfy sofas, coffee table, good sized flat screen TV with free view and DVD player. The dining area has a table and chairs for eight. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, fridge and freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Upstairs: three bedrooms - a double room with a King size bed and second TV, a twin room and bunk room. There are two bathrooms, one on the ground floor with bath, shower over, WC and basin and one upstairs (en suite to the second, twin bedroom) with a bath, WC and basin. Outside: Wreckers has a SW facing garden, sheltered walled terrace with table and chairs, parking for two cars and extensive views across farmland to the sea beyond.

Wreckers is ideally located just a mile from the sea, and one mile between St Merryn and Porthcothan Bay. St.Merryn is a thriving small village with two pubs (one of which, The Cornish Arms is now run by Rick Stein), three restaurants, two convenience stores, a fish and chip shop, and bakery. Just 5 minutes drive away are several stunning beaches including Porthcothan, Harlyn, Constantine, Treyarnon and Trevone. The picturesque harbour town of Padstow is just a 5-10 minute drive away and offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants including Rick Stein’s world renowned Seafood Restaurant. And in the opposite direction Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant is just 5 miles away at Watergate Bay. If you like walking, there is nowhere better. Public footpaths can be reached from the boundary of the property, making it an ideal base for walkers, and there are some wonderful cliff walks all along the coast nearby . For cyclists the off road Camel Trail starts at Padstow.

  • The tariff includes all bed linen, towels (except beach towels), Wifi and utility costs. A telephone is provided for incoming and local calls to UK landlines (not mobiles).

    A travel cot and highchair can be provided free of charge. Please note we are unable to provide cot linen.

    We offer short breaks during the winter* either from a Friday to Monday (3 nights) or Monday to Friday (4 nights). Both short breaks are priced at £295. *winter short breaks are available from 1st

    November - 31st March with the exception of 20 Dec - 3 January 2010and 12-20 February 2010.
