Fabulous location only steps Dallas Road beach front, two blocks from Beacon Hill Park and three blocks from Cook St. Village where you will find a pub, restaurants, drug store and many other shops. Just a twenty minute walk to Downtown Victoria. Large, roomy, bright newly renovated and updated suite but still with the charm of the 1912 home. 1000 square foot area. You will love the high ceilings, new kitchen cabinets with granite counter tops, new appliances and new furniture. Oak hardwood floors, Persian carpets and a mixture of antique and new furniture. Full size washer and dryer. The suite is SMOKE FREE and immaculate with new linens and nice fluffy towels. Bathroom has a shower and a deep claw foot bathtub. One bedroom suite has queen bed and comfortable hide a bed with blow up mattress. Separate dining area. Quiet residential neighborhood. Fenced yard and private outside sitting area with barbecue. If you enjoy walking, there is a beautiful seaside walk steps away. WiFi included.

My husband and I love living in Victoria. We do a lot of travelling to other places but we are always happy to come home to our beautiful city. There are many wonderful things to do in Victoria and we have a very full and happy life here. I am retired from a Social Services career and I now do volunteer counselling. I also volunteer at Victoria Hospice interviewing and recording life stories for people. I love walking along the Dallas Road waterfront and I spend a lot of time in the off leash dog park with my friendly Welsh Terrier Loki. My husband is a College Geology Professor who leads lots of local field trips to our photogenic and interesting coastal exposures and parks. He is always happy to explain local points of interest, access and natural history. We enjoy meeting new people.

First class, excellent accommodation! I highly recommend this property with no qualifications. It was perfectly appointed in all regards. The kitchen was fabulous in its entirety, as was the entire suite. Personal touches such as fresh flowers, and a welcome bottle of wine - with goodies - put the icing on the cake! I couldn't have asked for a better vacation home. The owners were fabulous and friendly. Location, of course, was superb - right by the ocean. Very dog friendly too! I would definitely stay here another time! Thanks for the opportunity of getting to know you, and your area.
Our 2 week vacation stay at Cambridge by the Sea has been outstanding from the moment we arrived. The apartment is nicely furnished , has every amenity one would need, and all the comforts of home. The location is excellent -close to downtown Victoria, the Cook Street Village, and the Dallas Rd walking trail. The home owner, Colleen Hamilton, was helpful and attentive to our every need and comfort.We look forward to a return visit at a later date.
How often do you hear that phrase? Sounds a bit cliché doesn't it? Every vacation rental wants you to feel this way but how many times does it actually happen? Well, I can tell you this time it did. My wife and I stayed at Cambridge By The Sea from the middle of December to the first week in March and right from the moment we first saw the suite we knew it was going to be GREAT! It has everything a person could want in a vacation rental...location - 1/2 block off one of Victoria's most scenic drives (Dallas Road), a short walk to Cook St. Village, even shorter walk to Beacon Hill Park, easy walk to the Inner Harbour and to top it all off...the best off-leash park in Victoria 1/2 block up and across Dallas Road (Colleen was happy to welcome our little dog as they are also dog owners). Amenities - the suite has a full kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and full-size washer and dryer. All the dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Great little Weber barbecue outside your door and because of the great weather you'll use it. The suite has a very comfortable living room with an extra pull out bed, electric fireplace and a huge window that streams in the sunlight in the afternoon. Great dining area with seating for 4 and a good bathroom (claw foot tub that can be filled to your chin), towels, pedestal sink and lots of storage. Lastly a large bedroom with a great bed complete with a 3" memory foam on top. A large closet with lots of hanging space plus two bathrobes that were wonderful. Iron and ironing board were also in the closet. Lots of drawers to put clothes into and two night tables with reading lights.
We have never been so comfortable! Many times during our stay we commented to each other that "we could live here"! If you're looking for a quiet, affordable vacation rental that has everything plus a fantastic location...this is the place!!!! The owner (Colleen Hamilton) met us when we arrived, showed us around and told us to contact her with any questions, concerns...anything at all.

My wife and I plus our cat stayed here for 3 months up until Christmas. The suite is extremely comfortable and very well equipped. We appreciated the fact that, within a minute, we could walk along Dallas Road and enjoy spectacular views of the ocean across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It is also possible to walk to downtown Victoria in about 20-25 mins through beautiful Beacon Hill Park. The neighbourhood Cook Street village has most facilities and has a delightful character of its own. We received a warm welcome from the owners who, though unobtrusive, were always helpful,accommodating and available if we needed them, (which was very infrequent).
We would recommend Cambridge by the Sea for anyone who is looking for a well located and comfortable place to stay regardless of how long it is needed.
We treaveled already all over the World, but we dont like Hotels. So everytime we look like a flat and has Seen a lot. Sometimes the pictures look nice in the Internet, but then....
This flat was the best we ever had. It was so quit und so nice, we had no words for it.

We stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of our summer vacation and it was definitely a home away from home. The owners live right downstairs so are accessible if you need them, and yet if you didn't you'd never know they were there. A very friendly & helpful couple, letting us know of all the events going on in the area during our stay. The accommodations themselves were awesome, roomy enough for our family of 4 and very clean. Our kids slept on a pull out couch in the living room and the bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. The fully equipped kitchen was also a great feature for us. The ocean is just a block down the road. Will definitely be back & would recommend this to anyone.
