Quiet and restfull break.
Just returned from relaxing week here;house in remote hamlet so nearest facilities a car trip (about 10 mins).The house itself has all you need to make your stay comfortable;very french in decor (wall papered doors etc);very well equipped and the large private garden is lovely.We used it as a base to explore the area and the 2 men played a couple of rounds of golf.(we are 2 couples).Vire GC is nearest about 25 mins away and quite eccentric!Granville to the west (c 60mins) is a good class links.We ate out 4 times out of the 7 but we were a little disappointed with the small choice in Vire,having said that France in general is losing country restaurants at an alarming rate ( just like the pub decline here);the sooner they realise that the answer is NOT charging £5/6 a pint and £3.50 a coffee the better off they will be.Nevertheless we ate very well in and around Vire very reasonably.(Le vrai Normand recommended).
All in all the house was very good and exceptional accomodation for the price and we would recommend so long as you don't have a gaggle of teenagers looking for the bright lights ! (those were the days).
