3 Bed / 2 Bath, Sleeping & Dining for 8. Beaches 5mins & 8mins walk

Perfect peaceful family getaway or reunion location. Sit and enjoy the gardens while listening to the waves crash on the nearby Carmel Beach. Our home is a 1750 sqft 3bed / 2bath beach-home with soaring vaulted ceilings and wall to wall LIGHT! It's tastefully appointed to help you immerse yourself in a California beach experience.

There's lots of living, cooking and 'kids play' space inside and outside the home. There's comfortable dining and sitting space for 8 in the living room, the dining room and on the back patio. We have 4 flat screen TVs, all equipped with DirecTV and Netflix. There is a 3D TV with 9 viewing glasses, a3D DVD player and a VCR and a small video library including a few 3D movies! , so there's plenty of options.

Broadband Wifi reaches all areas of the house. The sound system is a professional 6-speaker discrete in-ceiling system. Use our CD's or bring your own iPod music.

If it's a good book, you prefer, we have a small library tastefully hidden away next to the living room fireplace. The gas fireplace is controlled electronically with a remote for convenience and safety.

When it comes to relaxing after your tranquil Carmel day, you can further indulge yourself in our memory foam mattresses in every bedroom.

In the morning, take your time to enjoy a fresh coffee drawing in the fresh scented morning air in our extensive flower gardens to the front and back of the house. We have many roses, magnolia, lemon, orange, mandarin, Japanese maple, Mexican sage, agapanthus and many more. In short, the typical Carmel paradise. Don't be surprised to be sharing it with hummingbirds, squirrels and blue jays.

The young kids will love the double bunk bed room, with their own special secret bonus room filled with goodies!

It's an ideal location for families with easy access to both Carmel beaches (5 blocks away). The Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant (owned by Clint Eastwood) is a fantastic restaurant to have 200 yards from the front door. It has a Piano Bar as well as outdoor seating to watch the sunsets and the sheep !The Sunday Brunch is highly recommended ! They operate a first come first served system. So you have to arrive and join their wait list. The electronic buzzer they give you to call you for your table works at our home. So, wander down, make your booking, pick up the tag, and have a glass of wine at home while waiting. This gives some bonus time for those who have settled into the Carmel pace and need a little longer to get ready ;-)

Less than a mile away is the shopping and restaurants of 'Carmel by the Sea'. It's also a pleasant 20mins stroll down Scenic Drive overlooking the beach. Nearby is Point Lobos State Reserve. It's beaches are so beautiful several movie beach scenes have been filmed there.

The famous Carmel Mission, and Mission Trail Park are also about half a mile walk. Beautiful beaches and coastal paths extend for 3 miles past Carmel River Valley Beach towards Point Lobos.

About The Owner

We live in the Bay Area and have fallen, completely and utterly in love with Carmel. We love to visit our home there as often as possible. Come and see why !!

Why The Owner chose Carmel

In a word, location ! Our home is so close to the 2 beautiful carmel beaches. Imagine having to decide which one to walk to !!

For dinner the choice is even more difficult. A gentle 200 yards to the ex-mayor's mission ranch hotel & restaurant, or a short trip to ocean avenue for carmel's very best restaurants. Our favorite there is Dametra, but Mission Ranch is so relaxing with its Piano Bar and outside seating watching the sunset and the sheep !

What makes this house unique

Our home can sleep 8 comfortably. It's 1750 sq ft. You can make dining arrangements for 8 indoors or outdoors, in the back yard ! The living room also seats 8 for movie watching. All bedrooms have slumber-guarantee memory foam mattresses!

We have 4 flat screen TV's throughout the home with DirecTV, Netflix, 3D movies and DVD's.

Point Lobos State Park is about 3 miles away and its possible to walk there from the house if you walk roadside for about 400 yards.

The town of Carmel has many world class restaurants, art galleries and boutiques. We and our property manager will be happy to give you our recommendations.

Further afield are the world famous golf courses and Monterrey bay aquarium, Cannery row and whale watching. Our property manager can secure discounted tickets for Monterrey bay aquarium.

Golf and nature walks are plentiful and you are just north of the world famous Big Sur Highway 1 ! It's one of those 'must do's', to drive this road to Santa Barbara or Hearst castle with the top down!

Sunny Spot in Carmel - Easy Walk to beaches and Fun

Just spent a week there for the AT&T Pro-Am, it was a wonderful experience. I was worried at first that the home appeared far from downtown, but once I was there, I realized it was just a leisurely 10 minute walk to downtown. The best part was the proximity to both Carmel Beach and the river mouth beach, just 5 minute walk to both. I love how sunny this house and area is in comparison to some of the neighborhoods in Carmel. And...happy hour at Mission Ranch..Clint's hotel...that was great. Sunset and happy hour, it's just 1 block away.

Recommend the home...great for families and also couples...make it what you want.

We visited in February, there were 5 girls, we were greeted by Rick, and he showed us how everything worked and left promptly afterwards. The property is gorgeous, we had the most relaxing weekend.

lovely house in a great location

Visiting Carmel, even in the Winter, was a great way to spend the holiday, and this house made it a perfect choice. The house was everything we expected by the description and reviews, and a great choice for families. We are a small family of three but this house would work very well for two families too. The house has a wonderful open kitchen and dinning area that is simple but elegant and cheerful. We were greeted by the property manager when we arrived, and he showed us how to use all the important things and around the house, which is a nice touch - better than the usual binder of How-to’s. We really enjoyed the location - walking distance to Carmel Mission, Mission Ranch and the State beach. With older children you can easily walk to the shopping district, and in the warmer months walking to the beach would be no problem. I would highly recommend this house.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. We walked to a delicious dinner at Mission Ranch and walked to beautiful Carmel River State Park. Our 3 young girls enjoyed playing in the well stocked playroom and also in the playground down the street. The owner and property manager were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this property to other families.

wonderful house

We really enjoyed our stay in at your home; we were there for two nights for a family get-together -- for my birthday. The house is beautiful. Nicely furnished, very clean, fully equipped. We especially liked the private back yard where we grilled our dinner. Our 3 1/2 year old grandson loved the children's play room - wow what a lot of toys. The 3D TV's were a plus as well. Also it was nice to be greeted by Rick the property manager. The setting was also ideal - just a few blocks from the beach but on a quiet street. The only problem was that the wireless internet didn't work at times. It has a mind of its own it appears. Sometimes there was a great broadband connection, at other times none at all. Usually it worked again after unplugging the modem and then plugging it back in. All in all a terrific experience. Would definitely stay at your home again! bob + margarita

We're glad you liked the house, and thanks for alerting us to the Wifi problem. We are pleased to report that this has been fully resolved and it's working perfectly now. The TV's rely on it for Netflix, so we are sure.
