One bedroom, upstairs, fully loaded unit in quiet building

Fully stocked and ready for fun. This one bedroom very deluxe unit has all the things for cooking, fun in the sea and relaxing on the private lanai overlooking the pool and ocean. This is not some unit set back with a peek a boo view. In a very quiet 20 unit building only 2 miles from town. Right across from the farmers market so you can shop for the best Kona has to offer. The bedroom has a comfy new King sized bed and a private vanity. The travertine floor throughout makes the living space is open and tropical. The private lanai is the best spot for an evening drink or early breakfast. WiFi via wireless. Local phone calls from the unit. Photos do not do it justice as it is being refreshed and updated between each visitor with new paint etc. Gutted bathroom bathroom (all new travertine walk in shower, travertine floor and new granite vanity. Updated bedroom suite with all new linens. Entire new living room floor, TV, and lanai doors & windows. Better and better each month. Brand new showplace Granite kitchen! New appliances, new cookware. The works. You can reach out booking agent directly for fastest reply. Kona is a truly magical place we fell in love with it long ago and this building was the first I looked at. Sadly the unit I wanted sold to someone else before I could get it. Now 21 years later we finally are back at the Kona Riviera. Once you see it you will never want to leave.

You really can travel light since this is such a well stocked unit. All the beach goodies and great books are waiting for you. Come relax!

Due to construction problems the unit was not ready when we arrived. However the owners & booking agent got us a nearby condo. The owners picked us up from the airport, drove us to the grocery store then to the alternate unit. A few days later when the repairs were done they picked us up and again drove us to the store and to the condo. It was lovely to be treated so well. It really makes a huge difference to have owners nearby and such nice people. Thank you!

Manage difficult

I had tried to rent another unit at Kona Riviera Villas and was told it was not available (even though the calendar said it was.) After calling and getting no reply, I tried to contact her about this unit that was also open for the dates we were traveling. It has been two weeks, and no reply. Today I noticed that it has been rented. I have rented from VRBO on several occasions, and it has always been easy. This is not the case with this manager. It is much easier to work directly with the owner.

Owner's Response: Aloha, I'm sorry we did not have an opening for you for your time period. In the last 3 months, Kona Riviera Villa has been receiving unusually high requests! I get 30-40 different email requests every day and my phone rings all day long! That's good and bad news! So, my advice is to request dates early. You'll also see I have high marks from my previous guests. Try us again next year. We'd love to have you! Mahalo.

Condo for a week

Good location, lots of amenities in the unit. Bed comfortable. Somethings to improve upon would be to provide tea towels, face cloths, and dedicated internet service. Because of layout of building, bedroom windows open onto common hallways and you can hear everything! Also balcony is open to other units and at busy times you could have people walking past you as you sit and enjoy the view.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review the condo. I have been trying to contact you for 4 days now to get clarification. The condo complex only as 12 units... most people are gone so it's a very quiet place. We have never had people walking past our lanai during the 14 years we have been going there. So, I'm confused by your comments. By state law you need to have 2 exit routes downstairs. So, there is an ability to walk past a lanai. But it has never been an issue for us! It's too small of a complex! It's a VERY quiet and few, if any, are at the pool during the day even when we are full. That's why we love it because it is so private and quiet. Security gate out front. So, I would love to hear back from you to get clarification from you. I have asked our cleaning person to add more wash cloths and other linens. We hope to see you again some time!

Excellent Customer Service from Owner

We stayed for 10 days in this comfortable condo overlooking the ocean. When we contacted the owner for assistance in replacing a defective blender it was replaced immediately. In addition, when we left my husband forgot a book that had sentimental value to him, Ann was very responsive and made arrangements to go back to the condo to locate the book and make arrangements to mail it back to us. The accommodations are very comfortable, king size bed and large walk in shower. We love to eat out on the lanai everyday overlooking the ocean. Location is great and close to restaurants and shops.

great little spot just far enough from downtown Kailua

My wife of 42 years and I had a great time on the Big Is. We stayed at three different locations in sixteen nights, thirteen of which were at the Kona Riviera Villas. We ate breakfast each morning watching the marine traffic on top of the water and from below.
KRV is a great location as we have never considered driving anywhere on the Big Is. to be less than a pleasure. From KRV you can go north, south and east but not very far to the west; but your eyes can be glued to the west. The condo has had a good reno and is fully equipped for a stay long or short, including a bucket of sun screen. The rule here is if you use something up, just replace it.They have most everything at least to get you a good start on things.We would not hesitate to stay at KRV again in fact will be disappointed if we can not stay there again. I get excited, just thinking about a new plan to do just that. T & F W

Have stayed in this condo twice, once before renovation and once after. The renovations are great, with a new bathroom, tile floor in kitchen and living room, new paint and upgraded bed room. The sunsets viewed from the lanai are fantastic. Watching the sea turtles and eels from the pool deck is as close as you can get without diving. The condo is fully stocked with supplies, dishes, cookware and other needs. It also has towels and beach equipment (goggles, fins, booties, cooler chest, etc) to enjoy at the on property pool or to go to the nearest beach. Very enjoyable!!
