Overview

Sammamish Cottage Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms – Sleeping up to 6 people

Ideally situated on the eastern side of beautiful Lake Sammamish for fabulous sunsets and a tranquil setting, the Cottage on Sammamish is a newly renovated vacation venue. You feel rested and away from the busy world. Many people say it feels you are in a boat with the large windows facing and very near the lake.

Yet, just up the hill from the house (5 min drive) is a large Safeway and a multitude of convenient take-away shops and restaurants. 10 mins north and you are in the middle of Redmond (Microsoft town!) and the Redmond Town Centre. 10 mins south and you have Costco, Bestbuy, FredMeyer, etc on the pretty town of Issaquah. Both towns are linked with a pretty well preserved state trail that passes on the back of the Cottage, where you can walk, run or bike. The cottage also is close to Seattle itself. (20 miles - 30 min)

Come enjoy the Cottage on Sammamish for your next vacation or corporate visit to the Seattle area.

The Cottage has:

Over 900 square feet of living space

2 bedrooms – sleeping up to 6 people

Complete kitchen (we mean it!)

About Gustavo Junqueira

'Life is an adventure' and 'dreams come true if you believe in them' I have been two sayings that have fit together in my life. One dream I had was to learn to speak Spanish. I had never studied Spanish in any

of my schooling, and while working and helping raise my family I never found or took the time. It was not until I was into my fifties that I took my first Spanish course, and after that it became somewhat of a 'hobby' and then a passion. This passion also spread to the Latin

culture and my desire to communicate and get to know people in Spanish speaking countries. The adventures started when I chose as my was of 'immersion' into the Spanish speaking world, to travel by land and mostly bus through Central America and extensively in Mexico. I did this by flying only one way to my chosen destination and returning to the boarder, usually in Tijuana/San Diego by bus or at times by boat. This included from Guatemala/El Salvador, Mexico city and my furthest destination was Nicaragua.

Another passion is for the outdoors and nature and that includes skiing in the Cascade Mountains in the winter.

Why Gustavo Junqueira chose Sammamish

I have lived on the east shore of Lake Sammamish for 40 years. My wife and I moved from the Philippine Islands after finishing my tour of duty in the Air Force, together with our 6 month old daughter, into a small cottage which is still a part of a now larger house that got added onto a room at a time over many years. The 'Cottage on Sammamish' is next door and from there guest can enjoy the same beautiful views, stunning sunsets and fun activities I've been having for decades

Guestbook comments from the manager

We definitely plan to use this wonderful home again. It is so peaceful and restful. The decor was beautiful and well done.

Couldn't have been better!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at The Cottage on Sammamish for my husband's 30th birthday. We were a group of 7 friends (3 couples, 1 single) from Utah and all fit and slept comfortably. Don was incredibly nice and so accommodating. Although the lake was cold, we had an absolute blast kayaking, paddle-boarding and swimming. The fully-stocked kitchen made meal prep easy. We grilled every night out on the deck and enjoyed the sunsets. We spent our days exploring the city, visiting Snoqualmie Falls, and hiking Mt. Si. I can't can't say enough about how much we loved this place. We definitely would love to go back some day!

Wonderful cottage on the lake

  • 5 of 5

We recently were lucky enough to stay here for 2 weeks while visiting our daughter and her husband. The location was excellent for visiting them a few miles away, and allowed us to have our own home away from home. The location is excellent, in between Redmond and Issaquah. The cottage includes all the necessities and more. While it was rainy quite a bit, we still thoroughly enjoyed the lovely views of the lake and always listening to water. Our favorite spot was the little porch off of the dining area, protected so that we could end each day with a glass of wine, or begin each day with coffee. We would love to stay again when visiting in Seattle! thank you, don, for sharing this special spot!

Great Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This was a great spring break get away. We live locally but this was like being a world away. The lake is right at your door step with all the wildlife you would expect, eagles, ducks, otters we saw them all.

It is a cozy house, clean and private. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A Slice of Heaven!

  • 5 of 5

We used to live in Sammamish so my daughter and I wanted to stay somewhere that felt like vacation while visiting friends and family. This cottage was everything it said it was plus! Rain or shine , it would be a beautiful place to stay. We were lucky in that we had sun everyday...just sitting on the porch looking out on Lake Sammamish was so peaceful. We had friends and family over every night. Even they wanted more information so they could take a vacation in their own back yard. Don, the owner and his extended family are a gem! They provided everything you would need in the cottage to make your stay perfect. There is even an outdoor heater on one of the porches so you could still sit outside in the evening when it cooled off. With all the light and windows, the cottage does not feel small. I could actually live there. I am coming back soon with my husband. This would be a great place to stay if you want to go to the mountains and also go to Seattle.

Great getaway

  • 5 of 5

The views and closeness to the lake are unbeatable! The house was lovely, clean, comfortable and roomy for our family of 5.

The owner was very welcoming and helpful. This was a vacation, we simply needed a place to stay for few days, but it absolutely felt like a vacation... Highly recommended!

In & Out of Town Guests

  • 5 of 5

We needed a place for my out of town guests (from Italy) to stay for my daugher's wedding. I live in Sammamish and this "cottage" was absolutely perfect. Completely like the pictures and even better. Beautiful views of Lake Sammamish which is at your feet and a plus a lovely private garden w/sitting area. Plenty of room for 6 people. Everything was spotless, with all the necessities. It is easy to get to many of the local parks. It's a quick drive to I-90 (or 520) with Seattle only about 30 minutes away. The property is impeccably maintained. The owner is extremely helpful, so very nice, and has staff available at all times. I live in Sammamish and have thought about having my own get-away here. There's wonderful live theater in Issaquah (The Village Theater), restaurants and shopping. Be sure to go to Gilman Village in Issaquah. Quaint shops and great restaurants. This is a wonderful place to stay (home away from home). I highly recommend it.
