“Casa Maravilla was a magical gem. Our family came to Sayulita to relax, celebrate, and enjoy family time together, and this home and town did it all for us. We celebrated our daughter’s first birthday here, and our son turned into the number one beach explorer. My wife relaxed and read, while I surfed. Everyone from Marcos to Lupe to Mitch made our trip so enjoyable. Can’t wait to return.”
'We came to Sayulita for a wedding and were the envy of all our friends once they saw our amazing accommodations. This place is wonderful.' Tim – Winnepeg, Canada
'We loved the house and location. Perfect really. Love the curvy design - pleasant breezes in every room. What wonderful architecture. And loved the mornings on the roof deck watching all the birds. Such a special home.” Ginny - San Mateo, CA
The first floor is a large ground level air conditioned bedroom (a king bed that may be converted for use as two twins). Also on this level is a utility area, and half bath, with outdoor shower. This ground floor area has a separate entrance from the main house. All sheets, towels, etc. throughout Casa Maravilla are high grade cotton and very comfortable. Excellent pillows as well, and plenty of them.
The next level has two large air-conditioned bedrooms and one bathroom - great shower - no tub. One bedroom has a full-size bed and the somewhat larger one has a king that can be converted to make two twins. Both bedrooms have generous work spaces for writing your next novel, etc. There is an additional twin blow up beds available and a portacrib and a porta crib for a little one.
The next level up is the living/dining/kitchen area. There is dining for 10 at the two tables, a well appointed kitchen, two couches and a nice full bathroom (no tub). Also on this level are outdoor spaces with a view of the ocean over the coconut palms. The house design is pretty amazing - it's shady, cool, and breezy - and ceiling fans are everywhere, in addition to the air conditioned bedrooms.
On up the stairs to the rooftop floor all covered with a large palapa: one will find additional dining, a large sitting area, a bath w/shower, and a small “dipping” pool. The pool’s about chest high - 12’ or so in diameter - and great for relaxing, cooling off in the Summer, and whatever. The views on this level are pretty terrific - jungle, ocean, lovely neighborhood, etc.
“This house is so comfortable an beautiful. Everyone connected with it has been completely helpful and friendly. Would definitely return – actually – why am I leaving??” March 2014

'What a fabulous vacation. Thank you for opening your house to us. We had many wonderful meals in the kitchen, and many lazy afternoons by the pool. Mel, Jair, and Nova - British Columbia Canada

“Casa Maravilla was the perfect place for our first trip to Sayulita. We loved the bird watching from the dining table. Our baby learned many new words and bird calls thank to the abundant wildlife (caw, caw). Exploring Sayulita was so much fun!! Playa de los Muertos was peaceful and relaxing, and the beaches on the North end were simply stunning. Much thanks to Lupe and Mitch for making this a stress-free vacation. We can’t wait to return!”
