Month in Paradise

A month in Paradise! A group of us spent a month away from the cold winter at home and had the time of our lives... largely because of this beautiful well appointed condo we stayed in. We arranged with the owner to send transportation from the airport and when we arrived she had fresh home made Mexican chips and dip waiting for us in the fridge, along with cold beer. She also picked up a couple of cell phones for us, which was very convenient. The hosts were easily available to us if needed, but did not invade our privacy. Whatever we needed was taken care of promptly. The condo is breathtaking! It has a panoramic view of the ocean and beautiful beaches, and we had the pleasure of watching whales from our balcony virtually every day! Bring binoculars! The sunrises are glorious and fill the condo with pink light every morning. The condo is first class, high quality, and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to work in. There is Mexican hand blown glassware for our Margaritas, and tasteful artwork throughout. There are two big screen TVs with english movie channels, and the beds were luxurious with soft pillows and high quality linens. Each bedroom has ceiling fans and air conditioning if needed, independently controlled. There are dimmer switches throughout, and ample circulation. There is a nice pool and hot tub, and the grounds and gardens are immaculate and tended to every morning by friendly staff. There is a gate attendant who is helpful if you want a taxi. The beaches are incredible... we walked and hour and a half east with endless beach and soft gold sand, and 45 minutes west exploring beach caves and natural landscapes. There are three restaurants within walking distance accessible from the beach, and we had excellent service and great food in all. There is even live music and dancing a couple of nights a week nearby. The town is charming and hosts an art walk every thursday night, with classy galleries and contemporary artwork, live music in the street, and great restaurants. My husband enjoyed taking surfing lessons, which was located right below the condo... we could watch him from our balcony. There were a few Mexican vendors on the beach selling their silver and blankets, but they were not aggressive, and were not overwhelming. There were no panhandlers in the town, largely because there is employment. We felt safe, and the town is very clean and friendly. We will definitely come here again! Thank you to our generous hosts
