Annie's cottage and River Cottage are ideally located to access the many beaches, leisure opportunities and tourist attractions of the Dingle Peninsula as well as the scenic beauty of Killarney, the lakes and the Kerry Way. The county town of Tralee provides an opportunity for good shopping and boasts the Aquadome, a large indoor play centre, and the Kerry County Museum for those rainy days.
For those interested in history and archaeology, the Dingle peninsular provides many neolithic sites and places of interest. The Dingle Way , a 120 mile waymarked route, passes just a few miles from the cottage and you can walk to the nearby Caherconree Mountain (Ireland's 4th highest) from the cottage front door! The charm, small craft shops, and cosmopolitan atmosphere of Dingle Town is a must to experience, as is the Slea Head Drive and the Blasket Islands. Castlegregory and the Maharees are also just a few miles distant

Golf: There are a multitude of golf courses within a 30 minute drive of Annie's Cottage and River Cottage. Many are 18 hole championship courses such as Ballybunion, Tralee, Dooks, Beaufort, Killorglin and Killarney. Others are 9 hole course and there are even a few pitch and put courses locally for the beginners.
Some of the courses are links courses with spectacular views of the atlantic from many of the greens and fairways . Amongst these are Ballybunion, Dooks, Tralee and Dingle courses.
