The place was clean and had all the amenities I was looking for. The owner- Karen was great. She could not have been nicer and more helpful. I would definitely go back and recommend to my family and friends
Everything was perfect. Close by to supermarket restaurant and casino. Karen was very helpful. Will come back for aother stay.
What a sweet place this is! Karen was quick to respond to our requests and her emails included not only information about her home, but things to do in the local area. The home was comfortable, warm, clean, and Karen has candles around the house that make it welcoming. In addition to being in a quiet neighborhood, the home has even better views than the pictures can share. The lake is maybe 50 yards from the windows in the loft (where there's such cosy carpet!) and we saw a couple of animals playing on the frozen water. There's a diner and a grocery store a couple of minutes away in town and a nice steakhouse, among other close restaurants. It was the perfect, quiet place to get away and be still.
Karen's home has plenty of space for families to stay. There are canoes downstairs, children's toys, and a children's playground just a few house lengths away around the lake. The deck has a grill, which we often miss living in the city! There are all kinds of hiking and shopping options near. We enjoyed the warmth of the house and the great views. It was wonderful to be in such a beautiful place and get away from the city for a bit. We are keeping Karen's home on our list, as it seems a great place to stay when the weather gets warm.
(One last note, Karen keeps notes from visitors and her family inside the cupboards. What a thoughtful way to remember visitors and to thank the owners of the house!)
This was the second time my wife and I stayed at this lovely cabin. Very nice, clean, great views, convenient to local attractions and just a great overall warm cozy mountain feeling to it. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the everyday grind and to have some fun away from home. Thank you Karen, my wife and I will be in touch soon with some winter dates that we would like to reserve.
We stayed with four adults and a small child and this house was perfect for enjoying a long weekend in the Poconos! The views of the lake are amazing, we loved having the canoes for short trips on the lake, plus the toys & nearby playground were perfect to keep the little one happy all the time. It's a very convenient location for day trips to the Delaware Water Gap, Tobyhanna State Park, and other nearby attractions. Would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed this little house in a nice subdivision. There aren't a ton of lake views, but this house has the view shown in the pictures. There was a lot of nice open space with the vaulted ceilings and we enjoyed the deck and the fireplace which had been conveniently stocked with wood and fire starters. We went hiking at Bushkill falls one day and fishing another and found everything we needed at the grocery store about 15 minutes away. We truly enjoyed the serenity.
