Photos and Description of the Lapland vacation cabin rental 3 bedroom luxury ski log cabin in Lapland, sleeps 8

Aurora log cabin was built in 2007. It is situated in a quiet, wooded location on the edge of the village, yet close to all amenities. Santa's house and the best restaurant in the village are a short walk away through the woods. The cross country ski tracks start right beside the cabin. The cabin provides a very high standard of accommodation. It is modern, comfortable and very cosy. On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with a log fire. There are 2 twin bedrooms, a shower room and separate WC. There is a private sauna situated adjacent to the shower room. Upstairs there is a very spacious, full height mezzanine with 2 beds, and space to sleep 2 more. There is a further WC upstairs. Outside there is a heated car parking space and a shared ski waxing room.

Akaslompolo is a traditional Lappish village in the fell region of Yllas. There are fantastic opportunities for both cross - country and downhill skiing. Cross - country tracks start right outside the cabin, and the downhill resort is 3 km away. Santa's house in the village is a short walk away from the cabin through the trees, and the best restaurant in the village is close by. Other local activities include snowmobile and husky safaris in the winter. Also visit the famous ice hotel which is close by, and see the magical northern lights outside the cabin. In summer, there are excellent hiking tracks, as well as great opportunities for fishing, canoeing and pony trekking
