We had a wonderful stay in the pool house. Every detail was as described. The pool is perfect temperature and the surrounding gardens were relaxing. We are seniors and found the warm Fairfax weather a wonderful change from cool windy San Francisco. There are lots of places to visit just a short drive.
We would stay there again and recommend it to friends and relatives - no hesitation at all. The owners were friendly and helpful.
This property is an oasis in funky Fairfax, Ca. The poolhouse is lovely and very well equipped. The back yard is gorgeous, with a wonderful pool, hot tub and fire pit, and is completey private from surrounding homes. Michelle and Spencer make you feel at home. We will definitely return.
Suggestions for improvement: a screen or partial wall to give the bedroom some privacy and separation from living area. Also, the pool was so cold only the young or very brave could swim.
The pool house is lovely - all of the small details from an amazingly comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and nicely stocked extras from the owner. The owner was helpful and accommodating. I have never seen a hot tub that heats up so fast. The gas fire pit makes for a nice evening of hanging out and roasting marshmallows. The location is so close to town that it is easy to walk to restaurants or to grab coffee in the morning. We road our mountain bikes to Camp Tamarancho - some of the best mountain biking in Marin. We could not recommend the pool house more highly.
My husband and I arrived to discover a secret paradise behind a private gated and fenced estate. Too good to be true? NO! More than you would ever need or could want! The king-size bed is the most comfortable bed you will ever sleep in. We started our day with a dip in the beautiful custom salt-water swimming pool, followed by an outdoor shower, drenched in sun! The surrounding area is magical and easy to get around. We enjoyed an early evening at the Organic Farmers Market and skipped the grocery store all together that day. The Good Earth Grocery Store earned our business the next day. Needless to say, we ended up BBQ'ing almost every day, because we enjoyed relaxing poolside and taking a jetted hot tub several times a day after our daily outings. Don't miss the delicious organic ice cream at "Scoop". After listening to fabulous Live Music in Town, we took an amazing moonlighted walk back to the property to our homey poolside fire-pit and roasted marshmallows (which they supplied). The Owners told us about hiking trails which lead to cascading waterfalls, where we observed a multitude of wildlife. They even supplied us with Cruiser Bikes to investigate more of the surrounding neighborhood and the quaint Town of Fairfax. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay the week, but when we left, we felt like we had been on vacation for a month. Time seemed to stop. We definitely plan to return again often. There was so much more available there close-by to do. We highly recommend this fabulous Vacation Destination and the Owner's were icing on the cake!
