3 bedroom, 3 bath home in a quiet country setting

Ahhh, the perfect spot!!! Peaceful and tranquil, a home on a wooded hilltop provides all that is needed for a wonderful trip to the local area. Home sleeps 10 to 12. Master suite with bath provides privacy. 2 additional bedrooms and 2 more full baths allows room for everyone. A large recreation area in the basement and a large yard complete with basketball goal and swingset gives lots of room to run.

Rosie's Run is located just minutes from Holiday World/ Splashing Safari Amusement Parks in unique Santa Claus Indiana. Nearby towns include charming Ferdinand Indiana, Huntingburg Indiana, which boasts southern Indiana's premier antique shopping locations. Or hop the train in Jasper Indiana for a scenic and unique adventure to French Lick Indiana. Or you can drive - the beauty is just as grand

This land has been in our family for 150 years. Recently my family decided to move to the farm just down the road which left the question 'What to do with this house?' We decided to provide the opportunity to visitors to enjoy the slower pace of the country life. Hence, our vacation rental is available.

What a great home and owner!!

I rented Rosie's Run for the weekend since my son was getting married in Ferdinand. The house was spacious and worked out to be the perfect place for my family, another couple and a few of my son's groomsmen. It was nice to have a large kitchen, large basement, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for getting ready for the wedding. The house was very clean, we had enough pillows, blankets, towels, etc for everyone and the owner was the nicest person to work with. She was so accommodating and attentive to our every need. If you need a place to stay in Ferdinand, I would highly recommend Rosie's Run.

We live 5 hours from our two sons and a fiance, all living in Evansville area. To make it easier to celebrate the holidays together, we rented Rosie's Run. What a great choice it was! We had everything we needed for cooking, eating, playing games and sleeping. The house was festively decorated and the view was enhanced bya fresh 6 inches of snow which made our belated Christmas perfect! (And the drive was cleared before we got out of bed! Thank you) We brought in 2013, dubbed the Year of the Wedding, with our son's future in-laws. Rosie's Run comfortably slept the 9 adults and 2 toddlers. Valerie and kids, thank you for all the special touches. We hope many more people will share in the hominess of Rosie's Run.

Folk Fest visit

We had a fantastic time at Rosie's Run. My daughter and son-in law moved to the Ferdinand area several years ago. They have limited space in their home so when the rest of the family would come for visits we had no choice but to stay in hotels. When we heard about this vacation home opening up we just knew we had to take advantage of it. Our first opportunity was for the Ferdinand Folk Festival weekend. We packed up our families and made the trip from Atlanta. (6 adults and 6 children ages 2 to 14.) I know now that we will never be staying at the hotel again. We saved money and had a "home" atmosphere for the entire weekend. We returned each night and made a family meal. Just like it used to be!!! We played basketball and baseball. Most of all~ I appreciated the privacy and wonderful views of the country. We had everything we needed. A good time was had by adults and kids alike. Not to mention the strain it took off my daughter feeling like she had to entertain all of us. The Fest was wonderful ....then on Sunday we spent the day in French Lick which was lovely. The kids want to come back this winter and go to the indoor splash park in French Lick and next summer we would like to hit Holiday World. You will be seeing more of us!! Thank you so much ~not only for the wonderful hospitality you've shown us but also for giving us the opportunity to feel like a family again!!
