Beach Front Cottage, 3 BR, Open Living Area, Traditional Beach Cottage

Open Living area with knotty pine walls, large ocean view windows and ocean side deck with seating. Equipped Full kitchen, 1 1/2 bath plus outside shower (in the warmer months) 3 BR- 2 Doubles and four bunks. WIFI, washer/ dryer, central heat and air, cable TV with DVD.

Hi- I am Liz. I have lived on Oak Island off and on for 25 years. It's friendly people and peaceful family friendly beach keeps drawing me back. I currently live in the NC mountains where I grew up and now feel lucky when I get to visit Oak Island. It always feels like I never left. When you visit you will feel at home too!

Why Liz Hoffman chose Oak Island

The cottage, called Way Out, is ocean front, has great sunrise and sunset views and is in a great location. It is in walking distance or quick drive to everything you need yet it is peaceful.

What makes this cottage unique

Everyone is comfy in Way Out. The knotty pine walls are reminiscent of many peoples childhood beach vacations and the leather furniture and laminate flooring make it a comfortable place to relax and know that it will all clean up, wipe up and be OK. So go ahead and spread your Seafood Bog out on the dining table, kick your feet up and watch the waves roll in or curl up and read a book.

1/2 mile stroll along the white sand beach to fishing pier and ocean front dining. 3 miles from great localy owned restaurants, coffee shop and fresh fish monger as well as chain grocery. Explore nearby Southport where many movies are filmed along the water in this historic town. Take the ferry to car free Bald Head Island or to Fort Fisher's historical site and aquarium. 35 min to Wilmington and 1 hour to Myrtle Beach.

The house has all the charm of a vintage beach house, is clean, comfortable, just a few steps to the beach and is satisfactorily furnished. We enjoyed our stay and are already planning another visit.
