The pool area and the surroundings:
A beautiful private swimming pool is positioned near the huge palm tree. The pool is purified with salt and thus is free of chemicals. There is an automatic machine that cleans the pool on a time clock.
There is a large teak wood table under an arched pergola which seats 10 to 12 people.
A barbecue and six comfortable loungers are dotted around the lovely, flower filled, walled garden.
Deia is famous for its clientelle...Michael Douglas has a Magnificent ex Archduke house just along the coast and Andrew Lloyd Webber holidays at his home every summer. Just up the hill from Can Gelat, there is an archeological museum, sporting the interesting discoveries of well known American Archiologist Bill Waldren who discovered Myatragas, a small prehistoric Mammal.
The coastline is beautiful to explore and mirrors that of the Big Sur coastline in California.

In contrast to Deia, the larger town of Soller is a beautiful working mallorcan town set around a large square. Here you can relax while having a morning coffee....or maybe eat tapas before shopping down the main street of 'La Luna'....and after a little retail therapy catch the old San Francisco tram to the Port !
PORT OF SOLLER
The port is a lovely horseshoe bay which has the actual port at one side and a gorgeous sandy beach at the other. Coupled with fabulous cafes and restaurants the Port is very popular with families and yachties alike.
