The apartment could not be better located to enjoy everything Barcelona has to offer perfectly situated right in the middle of the EXAMPLE quarter next to PASEO DE GRACIA is the main street of the city in the hart of Barcelona, along this road are 'La Pedrera',' Casa Batllo' two of Gaudi´s characteristically dreamlike buildings, nice restaurants and cosy café-bars all best shops of the city and at 10 minute walk Placa Catalunya with all train and bus connections, 'Gaudi's' 'Casa Batlo' the 'Pedrera' At a 10 min walk to the other direction you find the SAGRADA FAMILIA (the famoust Gaudis church )

EXAMPLE is a beautiful and very safe part of the city, high-class residential and shopping area. Barrio to wander round,there is a vibrant nightlife and a thriving cafe culture take in the glorious architecture and people-watch from one of the many cafe terraces.

The quickest way to get to our apartment's is by taxi.Prices are very reasonable,The usual cost is around 30€ and the journey takes about 20 minutes,depending on the traffic.

Another option is to catch the Airport Bus to “Plaça Catalunya”.You have to stop in the last stop and then to take a Metro L4 (yellow line) from'Urquinaona'square(Plaza Urquinaona) it's just behind the big department store'Cort Ingles',from the station 'Urquinaona' to station 'Girona' it's only 2 stops.Once in “Girona' exit the metro and go up to the street'carrer D'Arago'.

We are a family of five and stayed in Barcelona for 10 days. The apartment is conveniently located by two different metro stations. In general, most of our outings were less than 15 minutes with the metro.

We visited the zoo, the aquarium, the chocolate museum, the Pablo Picasso museum, the Diagnal Mar mall, the Mall de Espanya, the CosmoCaixa Children's Museum and the Gothic and El Borne districts using the metro station. We used a taxi to get to Ciutadella Park for the row boats on the lake, it only cost us 5 euro (less than the Metro).

There is a pharmacy across the street and a supermarket two blocks away. There is also a great chinese food restaurant with great prices to the left of the apartment building (make a left out of the door and follow the block around -- about a 1 minute walk). Also, the terms of the contract are very clear and transparent, the owner is very good about getting back to you regarding any queries.

Negative
Fourth floor is an incovenience, especially after a tiring day out in the city!! Not a big deal . . . just an incovenience (good opportunity for exercise I suppose).

It is a small apartment (40 sq meters). Although the apartment sleeps five, it is probably best suited for up to 3 people . . . maybe 4 . . . five is a bit tight (especially if you have younger kids that want to romp around a bit).

Overall a good experience, a good location and a good price.

We've just returned from our stay in one of the 1-bed apartments. It was fabulous and Julia and her family were so welcoming, kind and flexible. The apartment is in a great location, walking distance to lots of sights and also of easy access to the metro if you want to go a bit further. It is a great size for a 1-bed with plenty of storage space and the design and furniture are beautiful. Next time we visit Barcelona we will definitely look to stay here, it really made our holiday.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
