Charming four season cottage located on Elk Rapids' quiet East side. Comfortable walk to downtown area/beaches (approximately 3/4 mile). Three bedrooms, 1-1/2 baths, sleeps 7. Private alcove off MBR. Well-appointed, bright, happy kitchen stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, etc; no dishwasher. Central air, washer/dryer, cable/WIFI, fenced-in backyard with gas grill and fire pit, surrounded by trees; an island of serenity. Bed linens and towels provided.

When this darling cottage went up for sale across the street from us, we couldn't resist. It has become an extremely special part of us in the very short time we've owned it and in just one summer has given us glorious memories. We are over the moon with the new addition to our family brand house.

Swinging on the porch swing in the backyard of the cottage, john said to me, 'this is really like its own little island,' and it is. It is quiet, peaceful... Serene. The backyard abuts a park belonging to the church on the street behind, and we especially love the sound of the church bells, crisp and rich.

What makes this cottage unique

The screened porch in front is wonderful for watching the world go by (though we do live on a very quiet street). The house is precious ~ cozy and spacious, and the backyard is large enough for grilling, the fire pit, swinging, and playing several yard games, all at the same time! We provide croquet, ladder ball, and a bocce ball set, as well as several toys/games. The yard is surrounded by trees with several perennials, herbs, and your very own tomato plant.
