MALAGA CITY, BEACH FRONT APARTMENT

Malaga City Apartment Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom apartment, sleeps 4.

Beach front 2 bedroom apartment .Free wifi internet ,Situated in El Palo. This is a typical fisherman’s house divided into 2 apartments. The rental property is on the first floor. There is a small terrace on the first floor and the large roof terrace is on the second floor. The roof terrace belongs only to the apartment and is not shared. There are 2 good size bedrooms. One with a double bed and one with twin beds. There is air conditioning in the double bedroom and ceiling fan in the twin bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need.

The apartment is right on the beach and you can sit on the terrace and watch the world go by. The area where the apartment is situated is not really a tourist area so there is not much English spoken. All the neighbours are very friendly. The waiters in the many restaurants and bars along the sea front do their best to try and understand what you say.A great chance to practice your spanish!

Transport: From the Airport you can reach the apartment by getting a bus into the center of Malaga then a second bus to El Palo.

A taxi can be booked to meet you at the airport if you wish..

If you hire a car you can usually find a parking space in the street if not directly outside the apartment then a little bit further down the road.

There are buses from El Palo into the city centre every 5 minutes during the day and after 11.30 at night buses run every 45minutes all through the night.

Beach: The beaches in front of the apartment are made up of little coves so ideal for children . El Palo and Pedregalejo beaches even though being very close to town have a unique character, they each have their bars and restaurants and both beaches are well maintained., every summer they celebrate the Virgin del Carmen (16th of July), patron saint of the fishermen, they take the Virgin out of her church and out to sea in a boat, while being followed in procession by the fishing boats. You can walk along the beaches of El Palo and Pedregalejo and continue your stroll till the Baños del Carmen and from there to the maritime promenade of Malaga that will lead you to the entrance of the park and from there to the town.Malaga city centre is the perfect place to explore the many historical monuments, atmospheric little streets and squares with delightful café culture.

Malaga: Malaga: . Malaga itself is a lovely old town with lots of charm. It has maintained its Spanish character. Apart from a huge cultural offering of concerts and theaters, there are many museums and art galleries, the most famous being the Picasso museum and the Center of Contemporary Art. Malaga is famous for its tapas bars in the historic center and its fried fish on the beaches, it also has a fabulous nightlife. You can stay here for months and won´t run out of things to do and places to explore. Granada and Ronda being one hour's drive away .

Language Schools: There are many Language schools in the Pedregalejo and El Palo area. The house is within walking distance of most of them

Ideal location for relaxing holiday

  • 5 of 5
The property is as described but was nicer than we had expected as the pictures don't do the place and location full justice. We had a fortnight here and did not want to leave. Barbara was very helpful from the initial enquiry, booking transfers, calling in to check we were ok, through to near the end of trip when one of our party needed to print a Ryanair boarding pass (internet cafe very close by!). The area is not at all "touristy", but the locals are very friendly and welcoming, especially the owner Carmen and her daughter(Isobel I think). There are some lovely local restaurants (one only a few doors down run by the sprightly Andres) and all serve fresh fish cooked on the beachside barbques. We visited the famous El Tintero on a Sunday which is also local and we cannot recommend it enough.
The beach was amazing, and only 20 steps from the apartment. Swimming was easy because it was not too deep and the sand is lovely and smooth underfoot in the sea. We had no children in our party but it is ideal for families.
A short (10 mins or less) walk away is a decent sized supermarket. Just outside this is the bus stop to get into Malaga. It is a 20 to 40 min bus ride into Malaga depending on day/time etc and costs .80 cents each way if you buy a bus pass (available in the tobacconist across the road from the supermarket and 2 doors down from the aforementioned internet cafe (where they charged 20cents to print out the boarding pass)). The buses run every few minutes (number 11 or number 3) during the day and are clean, air conditioned and reliable. The night buses were not as regular and we found them a little less reliable but the bus pass works for them as well.
We loved the area, the apartment and the locals but I would stress that if you are looking for a busy social scene/nightlife then this is not the place for you. If however you want a taste of the "real" Spain and want to try out your Spanish (we had only very faltering Spanish and relied on apps/phrasebooks but everyone was happy to help us and seemed to appreciate us trying to use Spanish) then this is the place for you.
Everything you need is provided in the apartment. The kitchen is very well equipped, plenty of towels are provided, including some for the beach, umbrellas ( we has showers 1 day), a shopping trolley and laminated local maps with shops, bus stops etc marked and local information. There is also a great library of books.

Perfect location for relaxing beach holiday!

  • 4 of 5
The pictures and reviews didn't disappoint and this place was a great find! Comfy beds, plenty of space for relaxing and wonderful views. We loved being so close to the beach and made good use of it! The overall location couldn't be better with shops, buses, bars and restaurants all nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5
We stayed for a month in this apartment and it is exactly as advertised with everything you need in it. The terrace has great views especially the sunsets which can be spectacular viewed from the roof terrace.

El Palo has all you need in it with plenty of supermarkets and fruit and vegetable shops with the freshest of produce and lots of excellent restaurants.

Malaga is only 20 minutes away on the bus but the promenade walk in is well worth the effort. Although it is about 1 hour long it is all on the level with a wonderful sea breeze to enjoy.

We would recommend the apartment to anyone who wants a really relaxing break. Barbara and Carmen (who is the owner who lives downstairs) are both very welcoming hosts.Barbara even checked a few times to see that all was ok and we didn't need anything.

It is definitely a place we will return to.

Wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5
Excellent place to stay if you want to stay close to Malaga yet not in Malaga. The apartment was clean and well furnished. Barbara and Carmen are great hosts, and if you want to practise your Spanish you can always have a chat with Carmen who lives downstairs. I greatly enjoyed my week here with the beach and promendade just across the street and Malaga city centre just a short bus ride away.

A very nice apartment on the beach

  • 5 of 5
My family and I have spent a pleasant week in Malaga. We lacked for nothing. The apartment is very well equipped and the caregiver lives in the house and is always helpful.
The apartment is located directly on the beach and you can enjoy the view from the terrace and the sound of waves.

The bus stop is 5 minutes walk away where the bus goes directly to Malaga city.
Barbara and Carmen are very helpful and nice. Even a taxi was ordered for us that picked up us from the airport.

I recommend this apartment and would like to come back one day.

Thank you Barbara and Carmen :)

Best wishes,
Valentina

Lovely apartment,great location

  • 5 of 5
we stayed at this apartment for ten days in oct 2012 and realy enjoyed ourselves.
having previously stayed in malaga much earlier in the year,we were nervous about
the weather.but apart from two rainy days, the weather was brilliant, hitting the mid 20s. the apartment was lovely, having everything you could possibly need.
best of all is the location, right on the beachfront but not too close to restaurants
and bars to be too noisy. to get up and have breakfast on the terrace is a piece of heaven.one disappointment of coming in oct was the subdued night life in el palo .
but just jump on the number11 bus and 20 minutes later you are in malaga's beautiful city, which is a vabrant and exciting city. highlights for us were los gatos,
a mad [in the most nicest way] spainishy bar and barsovar a retro disco that had even us 50+ ravers shaking booty. and then even at 3 or 4am you can get the n1 bus home and it will still only cost you 1.20. where would you get it!!!!
to sum up we realy enjoyed our stay at barbara and carmen apartment and defintely would return.
