Niclas, born in Sweden, felt at an early age the urge to explore the world. Traveling extensively in Europe prior to turning 20, he then took his backpack and left for Barbados and the Caribbean islands, and continued on to Bali and Indonesia for months at a time. A few years later he got a job in the music industry, working for the legendary rock band Metallica, which made him move to the band's home base of San Francisco. Working closely with the band during their concert tours, introduced him to every part of the world, the perfect combination for his passion of travel & music. After 10 years of traveling all over the world, he decided to retire from touring and focus on family life. After a visit to Costa Rica, he felt Costa Rica was the perfect place to move to. 'it almost felt like Sweden in that it was very safe, with wonderful people, a great place for children to grow up in. But unlike Sweden, there is no cold dark winter to endure.' it became obvious that he had finally found his 'endless summer', where he could surf everyday and enjoy the relaxed pace of life that the Costa Ricans are so famous for. His wife heather is American, from Virginia. She is a teacher who has extensive experience working with non profit organizations and enjoys very much assisting local aid organizations in teaching English to underprivileged women and children. The family has lived in Costa Rica now for 8 years, including their four children, zakkary, Travis, Cruz and karisma.
