A tranquil haven

My husband and I spent 3 nights in this apartment at the beginning of December. We were greeted by a charming Yaniv who gave us a tour of the apartment and information about the area in which we were staying. It is a compact apartment, but has everything that one might need when one returns from the bustle of Paris (apart from, amazingly, a corkscrew!). It is ideally situated opposite the opulent department store Le Bon Marche with its tempting food hall, La Grande Epicerie, at the end of the street. The surrounding streets are lined with small shops, cafes and restaurants and there are several Michelin recommended restaurants within easy walking distance. It is a short walk to the metro, but we only felt the need to use it when dragging our cases or when the weather became unkind. The only noise that we were aware of when in the apartment was that of a wheelie bin occasionally being dragged over the cobbles - it did not feel like the centre of a large city at all. If I have one criticism (apart from the lack of corkscrew!) it is that there is no view of the city, but perhaps I would sacrifice that for the quiet we experienced. We found it far better than any hotel we have stayed in in Paris and would certainly return.

Owner's Response: BAC apartment is certainly very unique, as you do get the feel of a little country house right in the heart of Paris, with one of the most exclusive department store right at the corner of the street! The kitchen is now equipped with a corkscrew that will allow our guests to enjoy a nice glass of French wine. Yaniv & Marie - clickappart.
