We recently stayed at this property, and were absolutely delighted with it. The photos are accurate, and it is extremely well equipped, with everything you could want, and spotlessly clean. The heating was effective, as it was still a bit chilly in the evenings. It is close to many lovely trails for walking ; close to West Jefferson for all the shopping needs ---Ingles is an excellent supermarket. We found places to eat out in the evenings, but actually preferred to relax in the comfort of the cottage. I saw a number of beautiful birds, just from the verandah.
The owner took a personal interest in us, and telephoned on the last morning to check that all had gone well. The local " caretaker" visited us also, and was very helpful, and friendly. We would readily recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful place to relax in comfort.
We loved the Elk Nob State Park, the New River State Park, Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Jefferson Mountain State Park, to name but a few of the many attractions within easy reach.
The local library were happy for us to link up to the internet each day to contact our family back in Scotland !
