We are Laura and Mikel, owners of the apartment Martín de los Heros 17. We are a Spanish couple living in Madrid with our two children. We lived in the apartment for 5 years, and we hope you will find it as comfortable as we did.
The neighbourhood is in an unbeatable location, it´s very safe, lots of famous spanish actors live here. It´s frecuent to see cinema directors like Pedro Almodóvar or Alex de la Iglesia having coffe in the “81/2 coffe” or in other of the several fashion 'caffés', like “stars café” or “plaza café”, famous for the jazz concerts.
The spanish famous duchess 'duquesa de alba' lives very close, in the 'Liria Palace', 70 meters from the appartment.
You can walk to almost all the important and famous monuments and neighbourhoods of the city, like Chueca, La Latina, El Rastro, Puerta del Sol, Palacio de Oriente, Plaza Mayor, Puerta de Alcalá, Museo del Prado, Reina Sofía y Thyssen, Templo de Debod, Gran Vía...
The neighbourhood is full of different international restaurants, like 'Las mil y una noches' (indian), “Gino´s” (Italian) and spanish cheffs like 'Dantxari' or 'Viena Capellanes'. There is a DIA Discount Market very close (25 meters), groceries, and lots of fashionable shops.
The apartment has 55 meters, air conditioning and heating, fully equipped kitchen (toaster, mixer, microwave owen, Washer / dryer, hob, dishwasher and nespresso coffe machine), with a small office. Bathroom with hydromassage cabin.
6 people possible: master bedroom with double bed and very large closet. Interior Living room with sofa bed for 2 people. 2nd bedroom, smaller, with double bed.
New TV with USB, DVD, free wifi internet connection and DSL.
Cot, stroller and highchair free under request.
The first week of September 2012 we have bought new sofa bed, 2 double beds, TV, and several improves like painting.
We would give you recommendations about where to go, eat, and special places. And also different maps of the several neighbourhoods of Madrid.
