Our apartment has several features that distinguish it from the rest: It's right on Lake Como, with 2 gardens; one shared, on the lake shore and the other private, right outside your front door. It also has a large and spacious open plan living area, and as this was once a full time home, the kitchen is very well equipped. The apartment is 120m2 and recently renovated, with free WiFi, but in an 18th century building, and is ideal for relaxing with absolutely stunning views. It sleeps up to 6 people in one double and one twin bedroom and a sofa-bed in the living room, so is suitable for families and couples. You can swim in the lake directly from the shared garden which runs alongside the lake edge. From Spring 2010, the apartment's private garden will be ready for use. There is also plenty to see in the area during your stay and the lake ferries, stop only 300 metres away.

Nesso is a lovely village halfway between Como and Bellagio, and can be reached by car, bus or ferry. Although small, it has several cafes, grocers, a great restaurant and an ATM. People come to visit the waterfall, there's a ruined castle and several small old churches. It's very friendly and a good place to see people going about their lives. Nesso isn't a holiday resort, but it's very easy to access all the things to see and visit around Lake Como.

Notes: Our lovely apartment is in the old pedestrian part of the village, but isn't accessible by car. You'll need to leave it in the safe parking areas in the village and walk downhill (about 250m) through the quaint streets to get there. We won't recommend you stay here if you have mobility issues, or would struggle with a lot of steps. However, being tucked away by the lake is the ultimate getaway, and as one guest said, it's a small price to pay for such an idyllic setting. The great thing about staying here is that you aren't in a holiday complex. Some people live in the village as their families have done for generations and for some (mostly from Milan) it's their weekend place. One house near us is the holiday home for an extended family; one of the families (who normally live on the other side of the lake) stays in Nesso for all July and August . It's a very friendly place...recently our neighbours taught some of our guests to fish!
