unforgetable

  • 5 of 5
A bunch of us got together to do a ski trip weekend. We loved the place, everything. The fireplace, hot tub, separate spaces, the older ones stayed upstairs and the younger ones had a blast down stairs. Take the owners advise and get everything on your way in because it is remote. Also saved doing the rental on your way in. Making plans for next year making it an annual getaway

Very nice stay at this lodge near Wolf Ridge ski area

  • 4 of 5
We stayed at this lodge for only a weekend but had a great time. We were there with 3 couples, a toddler and a small dog. The lodge is big but cozy and nicely decorated, we loved the living room and kitchen area. We spent a lot of time there together eating and chatting and enjoying the lovely fireplace. I really liked that everything was very clean and if we needed anything we could contact the owner. We didn't spend much time outside because it was very cold, but I can imagine that its very lovely in the spring and summer time, especially around the ponds and sitting on the deck. The kitchen had most of the stuff we needed, only things we missed were extra trash bags and BBQ utensils. The Wolf Ridge Ski area is only a 5 min drive and we went there for skiing and snowboarding. Its a very small resort but everyone was very friendly and it wasn't very busy. One of our friends didn't go skiing because she's pregnant, so one of the reasons we chose this lodge is because its near Asheville. She spend a day at a spa in Asheville. The other reason was that we all could have our own privacy especially with the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs which is more separate from the rest of the house. That area has another fireplace and TV. In conclusion, we all enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

Picture perfect!

  • 5 of 5
Thanksgiving at Wolf Laurel was everything we had hoped for and more! There were 6 of us so the lodge was plenty big enough for everyone to have privacy. Preparing meals together was a delight because the living room is part of the kitchen and you can enjoy the roaring fire while cooking. The view from every window was spectacular! The dining room was my favorite place to have coffee in the morning because it overlooks the waterfall and ponds. Hiking was amazing and the fact that it's right out of your front door makes it that much more convenient. We hiked the AT and went to the Christmas Candlelight and the Biltmore. Both events timed perfectly because we were treated with a white Thanksgiving and were able to relax and not go anywhere. The mountain is even more breathtaking covered with snow! My son proposed at the little chapel at the bottom of the mountain so now we are going to have an addition to the family soon! Maybe a mountain wedding?

Beautiful home and surroundings

We had a fabulous time at the cabin.Loved so many things about the home - the decor, the wrap around porch, the kitchen, the waterfall and most of all the proximity to all key attractions around Asheville. The hospitality was amazing and we are very thankful for the detailed instructions. So there was no confusion and the owner was always happy to answer any questions we had.Anyone who rents this cabin will have an amazing time!!!!

Return Visitors, Feels Like The First Time

  • 5 of 5
What an amazing property. This is our second visit to this truly amazing family cabin just outside of Asheville, NC. We are going to make this a annual family vacation spot. We really couldn't ask for a better family vacation spot. The cabin is very clean and spacious. The comfy furniture and wrap around porches give the cabin a very homey feel. Having a swinging day bed on the back deck to relax and enjoy the elements only adds to the ambiance. The Mother in Law suite off the garage is a great touch for those who want a little more privacy from the rest of the crew. The decor makes you never want to leave the mountains and the large TV's and Hot Tub ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy. We bought groceries and cooked breakfast in the large kitchen and even grilled dinner on the Brand New Grille! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. As long as your not going the week we want to go. Lol. Amazing rental for those who like the finer things and places in life but at a very reasonable price. We actually expected way way less due to the afordability of this cabin. This place is a steal for the price. A must visit
