VILLA IN MYKONOS 4 BEDROOMS, PRIVATE SWIMMING POOL, FANTASTIC VIEWS

The villa exceeded our expectations because it is generously spaced, bright and airy inside and the outside areas are absolutely stunning. Each of the four good size bedrooms has its own bathroom and also has direct access to the outside balcony areas. The living room is very spacious, comfortably furnished and has a wonderful fireplace built into the rock.There is a good size dining area joined to an adequate kitchen. But the piece de resistance is the outside area where several very well furnished and shaded seating/dining/entertaining areas are spread over a number of levels culmintating in a magnificant west facing terrace where you can see the sun set over Delos.This terrace and the other ones also face east so you can see the sun rise as well as set. The pool has excellent lounging facilities, is regularly cleaned, and spotless.
The villa is rather awkwardly accessed via a roadway and electronic gate shared with 3 other villas and there is a short but steep climb from the road. The advantage of course is that this creates the height for views. The location in Alamandra is excellent. This is a quiet quarter so wonderfully relaxing, but Ornos is only 5 minutes by car, Mykonos town and the airport 10 minutes. So you are away from the hustle and bustle but can get to it quickly.
We had a wonderful stay in late June 2010 by which stage the air conditioning is most welcome. Would strongly reccommend it and the owner and agent are very good to deal with.

We stayed in the villa for 10 days in June 2010, and left wishing for more. The house is located in a quiet area, with astonishing views to both the sunrise and the sunset, beautifully furnished and decorated in greek/mediterranean style. The owner arranged a welcome gift of fruits and wine, which was really a treat after 26 hours and 4 flights (we live in South America). The house was airy and fresh (in spite of the heat outside), and we never felt the need to turn on the air conditioning. There are plenty of terraces and shaded areas to relax and read, and we enjoyed the swimming pool almost every day. There are restaurants nearby, but we chose to go to town most of the evenings for dinner - a quick 10 minute drive from the house. There are also shops, bakery, groceries and supermarket in Ornos area (less than 5 minutes by car), and the beach area, of course. We had a great time there, and hopefully we can come back next year.
