Photos and Description of the Kent vacation rental one bedroom and large sunny attic to sleep large family in rural setting

Furnished country cottage overlooking a quiet 71 acre lake. Great for families who want to explore the many activities in the area and take day trips to Manhattan by train. Bedroom, attic bedroom for many children, bathroom, kitchen, large living room (with working fireplace) leading out to huge deck with stairs to upper deck which connects with children’s attic bedroom (which is also connected to lower floor by internal stair). One acre garden. Table Tennis, BBQ. Situated three miles from center of Kent village and twelve miles from larger sprawling town (New Milford). Property is lakefront but due to rugged undergrowth, access to lake is a few hundred yards away. Please note that there is a private railway line (built in yearly 1800's to carry ice, marble and iron ore to New York City) adjacent to the property, which is NOT child accessible from the property. There is approximately ONE random goods train a day - maximum speed 30mph. Children and adults love to watch!

Nearest Train: Harlem Valley Wingdale at 13 Miles
Nearest Motorway: Interstate 684/Interstate 84 at 40 Miles
Nearest Beach: beach at 3.0 Miles

Only 90 miles north of New York City ( two hours drive give or take) and well situated for much of New England. 13 minute drive to Harlem Valley Wingdale railway station which is a two hour journey to Grand Central Station in Manhattan. It is almost essential to have your own car when staying in Kent. The owners of this Kent property are seasoned travellers and will happily advise tenants on their US trip (not just Kent). Possibility, of New York City accomodation assistance.
