This property is ideal for families and walkers alike. * The Villa has its own private, south facing, salt water swimming pool (9m x 4m) with patio bathing area facing the sea. Both areas are tiled with special non slip tiles, there is an outside shower for use after swimming, Sun beds and Umbrellas are provided. * The bedrooms are furnished with beds which have special matresses of high resilience foam, which relieves pressure on your shoulders and hips and have machine washable covers - easy to keep clean. Founded in 1572, the parish of Arco da Calheta is set between the mountains, the configuration of which is a semi-circle. The arc like nature and its proximity to the parish of Calheta motivated the first settlers to call it Arco da Calheta (Calheta arch). After the discovery of the island this parish was one of the first to be submitted to huge agricultural explorations, giving origin to extensive lands with noble houses, chapels and cultivated areas. The busiest time of the year is the 7th and the 8th of September when the parish celebrates its annual procession and a fair to honour the patron saint São Braz.
