Superb, well equipped villa with secluded garden and heated private pool

A fantastic clean, modern and well equipped place to stay ideal for exploring Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. There is a lovely outside space that our children enjoyed playing in, it is worth noting that supervision will obviously be required due to the lay out of the swimming pool. The property is as advertised and is cleaned regularly (including the pool) to a high standard. The only negative experience we had was the water park which can be seen from the villa. Not only is this very expensive the water was incredibly cold, leading to our 2 young children having to leave after 20 minutes, the customer service was terrible. This shouldn't be a deterrent against the villa however, since this was excellent. Flamingo beach is a short walk away which is ideal for small children and has pleasant restaurants. Enjoy your stay.

The villa was as expected from reviews and photos. It was very clean, well decorated and had everything we needed. Although the kitchen was smaller than expected, meaning our adult children could not always get into the kitchen with us to wash or clear up (!!!!!), it was well eqipped and we found the welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, orange and wine a pleasant bonus. The black folder with details of local shops, excursions, restaurant recommendations and information about the villa was invaluable. The villa felt like home as soon as we arrived outside and admired the pretty front garden and walked inside to see good sized rooms, with comfortable beds a large veranda where the day bed became a permanet feature all day, for anyone who got to it first!!! The pool was ideal and used every day.

There was an excellent selection of books, DVD's, CD's and board games to keep everyone happy. We took our own ipods and had the music on all of the time - using the ipod/radio dock already there.

For anyone wanting a LARGE meal - go to the Anvil Irish Bar!!! If you order garlic bread - one portion is enough for 2!!! We only hired a car for two days and did not get round to doing much sight seeing, as we really wanted a lazy holiday. However, did go to the Timanfaya Mountain - a must. It is only about 20 minutes from the villa by car and well worth the visit. Wish I had made the effort to see other attractions, but that will be for next time!!! If you don't like walking - get a car or have one for a couple of days, for the shopping if nothing else. We often walked to the Spar shop and then got a taxi back only 2.50 euros!! The taxi's were cheap, but we realised were were a lot nearer Playa Banca town than we thought. It was quicker to walk along the main road, but if you have the time, walk along the beach path. All in all a great holiday that was enjoyed also by our daughters who are 22 and 24. They enjoyed the Jungle Bar at Playa Blanca - good cocktails and music and open till late!!

We stayed at Casa Telescopio earlier this month and had a wonderfully relaxing week in gorgeous surroundings. This is undoubtedly the cleanest, freshest rental we've ever stayed in (and we've been to many!). The small but perfectly formed kitchen is well equipped and spotless.

The volcanic rock walls around the property make it very private, and the pool and garden area are not overlooked at all, even by the neighbouring villa. Plenty of garden and terrace furniture, including the lovely day bed (beware of falling asleep and getting sunburnt!)

The pool itself is a dream! 30 degrees at all times while we were there, making winter swimming very comfortable (warmer than the air temperature).

The main resort area is a bit of a hike, but manageable, especially as taxis are plentiful for the journey back if you need one. We had a car, which we found very handy for regular trips to the local Spar for provisions.

An unexpected bonus for the nights we stayed in was the owners' excellent taste in DVDs! They have loads, as well as music, and we also made good use of the iPod dock.

We ate out down at the seafront a couple of nights, and particularly enjoyed 'Spice' - an Indian restaurant (a little expensive but we thought well worth it).

We have never been on holiday to the same place twice, but are seriously considering going back to Casa Telescopio again next winter, and you can't get a much better recommendation than that!
