This beautifully built 2600 square foot home in the private residential area of Trout Creek Resort, is on a high bluff with an unparalleled panoramic view of Boyne Highlands.
The huge 700 square foot deck can be used to barbecue a meal or read a book as it overlooks the tree canopy below. No other house or condo is in sight from our deck, consequently the setting is peaceful and serene.
In the fall, the trees are alive with brilliant color. In the winter, the ski slopes at Boyne are lit up like Disney World! In the spring and summer the many spectacular golf courses are a dream come true for the golf enthusiast.
Nub's Nob, located one-half mile away, has been voted the #1 ski area in the Midwest for the past three years. There are 246 acres of skiing on 43 slopes with a phenomenal snowboarding area. There is a free shuttle to their slopes on ski weekends.
Boyne Highlands, located across the street, offers 49 expertly groomed slopes. This is where the thrill seekers will find the most vertical run, longest run and steepest run in the Midwest. It also offers ten miles of groomed cross country trails. In the summer the new Zip Line is a thrill to do for the adventurists!
This home was built in 2004. It contains a master bedroom with a king bed, a bathroom which has a jetted Jacuzzi and separate shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed with private full bath. The third bedroom has two bunk beds that sleep four. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room with a fireplace that makes it feel nice and cozy in the winter.
Perhaps you'd care to try your hand at billiards. There is a beautiful table just asking to be played. Or, you might just want to chill out and watch one of our four satellite equipped TVs or watch a video or DVD.
If you stray away from the house and down to the front of the resort there are three pools (one indoor, one outdoor, one indoor/outdoor), a sauna, a hot tub, four tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, and numerous trails to walk or ride mountain bikes on. There are even two stocked trout ponds.
For a day trip, visit Mackinaw City, where ferryboats depart for Michigan's most popular tourist attraction, Mackinaw Island. It is just a half hour away. Take the ferry over to the island, where cars are forbidden, and experience a horse-drawn carriage tour. Rent a horse and explore the island yourself. Take a bicycle-built-for-two and circle the island. Visit the Grand Hotel where Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour starred in the movie 'Somewhere In Time' and walk the longest porch in the world.
Northern Michigan is a mecca of sandy beaches and unmatched sunsets over Lake Michigan. Shop and eat at the fantastic shopping and restaurant districts in Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Mackinaw City and Charlevoix. Browse through the unique shops and boutiques at your leisurely pace and explore neighborhoods graced with elegant Victorian homes.

This place has it all! You cannot help but relax when you stay there. The fantastic view, the cozy furniture & beds, and all the extra touches the owner provides make you feel welcome and settle in quickly. We have chosen this place several times and would recommend it highly for a couple and/or family and friends any time.
Had a blast here! Super clean and very comfortable for 8 or more. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there. Pool table and foosball table were there and in great shape. Awesome view as well. Can't wait to get back there.
My husband and I planned a skiing and snowmobiling vacation with our 2 adult children and their significant others. It had snowed 15 inches when we arrived and was still snowing! PERFECT!! We were so pleased when we walked in. Your place was immaculate! I love the open concept, the kitchen, dining, and great room area is huge and has everything! We played cards on the dining room table every night, we could all be in the big beautiful kitchen at the same time and not run over each other. Your TV and fireplace area is awesome, the sectional is so comfy and big enough for everyone. The 3 bedrooms w/full baths are perfect and private. You put a lot of thought in this home to make it so comfortable. But we are all about the view, and your home has the best! We would love to stay again.
My husband turned 30 so I planned a surprise ski weekend with a few other couples. The house was PERFECT. It was very close to both Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. It was larger than we had anticipated and had plenty of space and bathrooms to accomodate the 8 of us. The boys loved the pool table, and the girls loved the fireplace :) The view is exceptional. You could not see any other houses so it felt nice and private. I would definitely go back!
We rented this house with a group of other friends for a ski weekend in celebration of my husband's 30th birthday. The house is in a great location near Nubs Nob & Boyne Highlands ski resorts. There was plenty of room for everyone and all of our gear. We loved the larger gathering areas both upstairs & down, where we could all hang out together playing cards or pool or just chatting. It was certainly clean, well-maintained, and I would definitely recommend this place to others! We hope to be back next year ourselves!
A few notes, though:
-there was not a lot of toilet paper provided and the Trout Creek Condo main office will not supply it for you; I would suggest bringing a pack of your own.
-the kitchen space is wonderful, but was not as well stocked as I would have thought. For example, I was making a big batch of pancake batter and there wasn't a bowl big enough for me to mix it all in. I'm also really glad I brought my big pancake flipper & my electric griddle! There were no seasonings besides salt (pepper shaker was there, but it was completely empty.)
-the couple who stayed in the queen bedroom said the bed wasn't the greatest
-the garage floor gets VERY slippery when wet/snowy
-the shuttle stop for Nubs Nob might not be that far away, but it is down quite a steep hill -- we elected to drive ourselves instead of using the shuttle
All in all, though, that's getting quite nit-picky! This place was great. Thank you for sharing your lovely home (and view!) with us!
Great home location in nice condo development with a small workout facility, indoor and outdoor pools, etc. Close to other outdoor activities. House was large with plenty of bedrooms, kitchen and living space. Will defintely stay again.
