ALL AROUND PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5
I spent a delightful week at Carolyn's Pied a Terre. The place is perfectly located on a quiet street. I walked along the garden path through the little gate to my very private patio/garden with teak furniture and an abundance beautiful flora all in full bloom it was picture perfect and very inviting. Sam the cat was there to welcome me. I miss HIM......
The house is Charming and tastefully done, complete with everything one could possibly need during their stay. Well situated just a short walk to everything, ferry, buses and many super restaurants. There are loads of walking trails with beautiful views.
I certainly do miss sitting on the terrace with my morning coffee contemplating my day of exploration, the house was my little bit of heaven for one week. Already planning a return stay. Sam's Friend.

THE PERFECT HIDEAWAY

  • 5 of 5
My mother and I enjoyed our two night stay at this charming little gem. Carolyn was a wonderful host, very attentive and provided the little touches that made it feel like home. We enjoyed the garden so much that we opted to dine al fresco with charcuterie and artisan cheese from Drivers instead of the many wonderful establishments in the area. I enjoyed morning walks on the boardwalk as the sun rose over the mountains. This house was perfect for walking to the ferry to take over to San Francisco (which was a fabulous trip). We sad to leave this little slice of heaven.

PERFECT SAUSALITO RETREAT

  • 5 of 5
This is a cozy and very well appointed retreat. We were close to downtown, but far enough away for quiet evenings. There are incredible restaurants, shops and stores within easy walking distance. The Sausalito Bike Bicycle Rentals and the restaurants - Avatar and Sushi Ran were terrific!!
The owner was absolutely the best! She made us feel very comfortable and welcome. In fact, she spoiled us rotten. We also loved her cat Sam. The next time we are in the Bay Area, we will not want to stay anywhere but here. We loved it!!!

I LEFT MY HEART IN SAUSALITO

  • 5 of 5
I will forever cherish the memories I had in Sausalito It's wonderful to come home to Sausalito after time spent in San Francisco. We stayed 4 days. Our time there was too short and we hope to return again. My husband works in the Airlines so we fly on standby. Carolyn, our gracious host was very accommodating and let us book last minute. We spoke many times before the actual booking. It gave us great peace of mind. Also, going home we weren't sure if we would make our flight, but Carolyn assured us we could return and she would be happy to have us back. Carolyn's manner is that of a kind and dear friend you feel like you've always known, and her house is filled with great charm and love. We enjoyed her cat Sam who really seemed to like our daughters. Carolyn brought us delicious bread and butter on our first day there and told us about Sausalito. We were given a parking pass for our car and internet access. We are a family of 5 (with 3 children) but the house accommodated us comfortably. We had an air mattress in addition to the comfortable bed. The house is in a very nice location. One can easily walk to the ferry and downtown Sausalito. There is a restaurant (I believe named Roma of Italy) that has the best Vanilla Chai latte and great Salmon omelets for breakfast. The house is immaculate and has everything you need. Staying here is a dream that will take you to another place in time. The house truly is charming and filled with many details for your senses to enjoy. Carolyn and her beautiful house and charming cat truly made us feel at home. I would recommend Carolyn's house to anyone thinking of visiting Sausalito. You will leave with wonderful memories.

OOOOOOH! AAAAAAH!

  • 5 of 5
Dear seekers of a special place to stay in Sausalito:

Such is the allure of Sausalito that my husband and I have made our home in the town. During extended maintenance done to our house, we were buffeted around from place-to place, for weeks. At last I decided to look for sanctuary in our own town. That is when we found this lovely Pied-à-Terre. I can’t tell you how serene and beautiful it is, how quiet and beautiful. It is a little paradise. Look at the photos: in life it is even better. Read all the reviews: they are all true. Imagine a small, fully-functioning home that surrounds you in cherished objects and excellent attention to design. Yet this little indoor-outdoor haven is not even slightly designer-ish. There are signs of love and thoughtfulness everywhere: nothing is left to chance. Private, serene, unique; worth experiencing for its own sake as the main attraction. Go for it!

NOW, DEAR OWNER: Circumstances conspired that I never met you during our stay in your sweet, special sanctuary, but I still wish to meet the genius who created the magic. You are a wonder; your hospitality and generosity of spirit is palpable. We had a million things going during the week we spent in your surroundings, and we had many stresses to manage. But the overtones and undertones of your sanctuary made a balancing difference we're going to remember. Thank you, thank you!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY FOR TWO.

Just returned from San Francisco. Very much enjoyed our stay at the Pied a Terre. Lovely setting, perfectly equipped and clean, and in a great location. Walk to restaurants and Ferry terminal. Our landlady could not have been more helpful. Would recommend highly.

There is also the Sausalito Art Festival held each year over labor day weekend. Year round shopping, movies, bars and restaurants are just steps away. There is also a heliport nearby. I can help you arrange seaplane or helicopter tours over the bay.
