Red Lodge House Rental Photos and Description

Sunny 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Craftsman-style house (sleeps 6)

Sunny 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Craftsman-style cottage in one of Montana's most popular vacation spots. Our house is just 3 blocks away from Red Lodge's historic main street where you will find great shops, restaurants, galleries, and bars. Enjoy Red Lodge Mountain ski area in winter and the vast Beartooth Mountains in summer. Only 70 miles from Yellowstone National Park.

This 1800 sq.ft house has a fully outfitted kitchen, washer-dryer, dishwasher, microwave, cable TV, and Internet with wifi. Full bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. Bedrooms feature double beds and the piano room downstairs has a comfortable daybed/trundle. Three large sunny living spaces on the ground floor are great for large family/friend gatherings. Spacious for a couple, perfect for 4, comfortable and private enough for a group of 6.

The house includes off-street parking, pleasant yard with a covered patio. Enjoy the Blaze King wood stove, our vintage upright piano, and the tasteful contemporary decor.

This house has been in my family for generations: We call it 'Gaga's House' in honor of our grandmother. We remodeled it and began accepting guests in 2012, but it isn't just a 'property' – it's our family vacation home and we are often there when it isn't reserved for guests. You will feel at home in Red Lodge when you stay at 'Gaga's House'.

Check in after 3PM, check out by 11AM unless other arrangements have been made.

I am an artist and designer living in Wyoming.

My house was built in 1910. It was my grandmother's house, then my mother's, now mine. We remodeled it and began accepting guests in 2012, but it isn't just a 'property' – it's our family vacation home and we are often there when it isn't reserved for guests. The neighborhood is quiet and established. The house is 3 blocks from downtown, close enough to walk, but away from the hustle and bustle of main street. You will feel at home in Red Lodge when you stay at my house.

Not as expected

This would have been a lovely place but unfortunately it was very dirty. There was dirt all over the kitchen floor and seemed as the carpet and rugs had not been vacuumed after the last visitors. There was some sort of animal hair in the house as well. If you have allergies of any sort I would not recommend staying here.

Owner's Response: Your review surprises and concerns me – – it’s the first negative comment I’ve ever had from a guest and I take it seriously. I am very sorry that the house was not properly cleaned for you. That has never happened before. I was unaware of that issue and wish you had contacted me immediately so I could do something about it.
I often do the housekeeping myself as I have high standards for cleanliness but couldn't schedule it this time. Instead, I tried out a new housecleaner who told me she had completed the cleaning and that everything was ready for your arrival. Apparently she overlooked some things. I have since contracted with a reliable commercial service with a good reputation so this never happens to a guest again.
If you should visit Red Lodge again, please let me know – I will be happy to give you a discount on your stay and I will make certain the house is as clean as it usually is.

This rental home was just as described! A nicely done home, beds for 6, just a couple blocks from the downtown area- so it was walking distance. This was the perfect place to stay for our group of 5. We found the home to be charming and cozy. The wood stove was perfect for a fire in the evenings. We watched a deer just outside our window on 2 separate occasions. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!!

The owner's art and design background is evident in the house. The living area of the house has lovely colors and feels open and airy. We really enjoyed siting in the living room in the evenings. The location is perfect--we walked downtown for ice cream most nights and enjoyed an evening stroll. The owner is very responsive to any issues. We had an internet problem one evening, and she immediately purchased a new modem and fixed the issue the next morning. The house was spotless and everything we needed was provided. The only thing we would change about the house would be having queen (as opposed to double) beds. The property is exactly as advertised. It is well managed and an excellent Red Lodge choice--recommend highly.

We have enjoyed staying in your house and Red Lodge is delightful.

Our only request for future guests would be a full-sized ironing board. Otherwise the accommodation is comfortable and well presented. A pleasure to stay.

Thank you

Nestled at the base of the Beartooth Mountains, Red Lodge is an historic western town, famous for the Beartooth Pass – a high-elevation road through a million-plus acre wilderness. A gateway community to Yellowstone National Park, Red Lodge is genuinely one of the 'Last Best Places.' The historic downtown features locally owned shops, a local brew pub, and many good restaurants. Red Lodge offers an abundance of recreation options, from mountain biking, hiking, golfing, camping, and fishing in the summer months to Nordic and downhill skiing and snowboarding in the winter.
