This lovely A-frame home is like a cozy, rustic cabin by the sea. On the ground level of this quaint beach cottage there is a bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom, a living room with a pull-out sofa, a dining area, and kitchen. The upstairs is an open sleeping loft, with a queen size bed that looks over the main living space. This unique home has a wood burning stove, a private yard, a deck, and even a swing in the living room! The third level crows nest is perfect to nestle in with a book and watch the ocean. There’s also free WiFi, a TV with DVD player, towels & linens, a propane grill – all the essentials to make your beach getaway comfortable. This historic home in the heart of Yachats sits next to Yachats State Park with a beautiful ocean view. Once you arrive, there’s no need to drive anywhere because everything is nearby. You and your guests will be just a few steps from the ocean, with both rocky and sandy beaches a short walk away. Staying at the Rock Park A-frame will give you the experience of roughing it at the beach, with the amenities of being at home.
The all-summer migration of gray whales can be viewed from Yachats State Park located adjacent to the cottages. In the evening, families gather at the park to view the sunset, watch for the elusive 'Green Flash,' build a bonfire on the beach, stroll the unspoiled sandy shore, and explore the glistening tide pools. The Famous '804 Walking Trail' begins at Yachats State Park and takes you ten miles north along the ocean to Waldport. It has breathtaking views and is a great walking/jogging trail, with spectacular photo opportunities, morning, noon, or evening.
Sleeps 6 - 2 Bedrooms & loft; 2 Queen, 1 Sofa Sleeper, 1 bath, and a fun crows nest.

The A-Frame was a perfect spot for our family vacation! We found so many amazing places to explore right out the front door! (Farmers market was great too!) The house was well stocked & perfectly furnished. We absolutely love this place! We’re sad to leave & cannot wait to visit again! Loved having a backyard that leads to the state park & every single view from this place is beautiful! Thank you!
My husband and I and our pup stayed in the A-frame for 4 days while we explored the Oregon coast. It is conveniently located and allowed us to maximize the use of our time. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable and sits just a short walk to the shore. There is a wood-burning stove that is very efficient and comes with a generous supply of firewood. (Our weather wasn't the greatest, so we used it a lot.) The loft was fairly easily accessed and appears comfortable, although we did not use it. The crow's nest is reached via a ladder that is securely attached to a wall and goes straight up - not something we tried.
Making the arrangements through Sweet Home was wonderful. They are extremely efficient and friendly. We had contact with Michelle, Brian and Kasey, and each of them was great. The check-in and out are painless.
The only issues we had were pots that were put away dirty and a rug in the bathroom that needed washing.
We loved the charm of the A Frame, perfectly appointed and comfortable beyond belief. We were happy from the moment we walked in the door until we checked out. Only thing to know, if you have elders or differently abled folks, stairs to the 2nd bedroom and crow's nest could be a challenge, but once you get up the stairs you'll be so happy you made the trek! Yachats is charming, and you can walk easily to get supplies from the nearby market. The Sunday Farmer's market was a special treat for us. We would recommend it highly, and only hope it will be available for years to come. Thanks for everything!
We have stayed in several VRBO properties and have never been disappointed... this A-frame is our NEW FAVE! SO warm and cozy and inviting. We felt like we were in the mountains though the ocean was a few yards away. The woodstove was easy to use with plenty of firewood stacked outback. The loft bedroom and crows nest are so unique and restful spaces. My body and soul felt so nurtured from our short time in this special home. The kitchen was stocked with nicer dishes and cookware than we usually see at rentals. We really enjoyed the location, too. It was our first time to stay in Yachats. Instant fans! Small, quiet, artsy vibe with a few shops and grocery store easy walking distance from the rental. We are already planning our next visit which is a first for us. We like to explore and never stay the same place twice. We found it that special and relaxing! (note ** the captain stairs to the loft and the ladder to the crow's nest definitely require people to be physically capable of climbing. The downstairs bedroom is easily accessed, but it was way more fun and adventurous to use the loft and crows nest!)
We couldn't have asked for a better home and location for the week we stayed. Just a short walk to the ocean through Yachats State park. Quiet neighborhood and wonderful little town atmosphere. We will be back for another stay at this cozy A frame cabin. The week we stayed the weather was wonderful with sunny days. The house had everything you would need and very well kept.
The A-frame was the perfect vacation house for us! My husband enjoyed having the fireplace and my doggies loved having the big yard to run around in! I liked that it felt like u were secluded when in reality you are just steps to the center of town. The historic little log church is just right up the street and the ocean is just steps away! The house was just the right size for us and it had everything we needed to cook or bbq! Yachats is the perfect place to discover the central Oregon coast! What a cute little town! Thank you for the perfect stay! They only down side is we wish we we could have stayed longer :)
