Nikki and Eric live here on the Big Island about 20 minutes away. Eric currently works for United Airlines at the Kona airport. Nikki works as a graphic artist from home. In the past she has also done fine art. one example of which you can see, in one of the photos, as a three panel piece of Herons. Their son Adrian works at the local Safeway and since he has special needs both Eric and Nikki are heavily involved with the local chapter of Special Olympics.
Eric Cleintuar purchased this townhome in 1997
This townhouse had been Paul and Barbara's, Eric's parents, home for the last 15 years. They both loved the special feeling of living here. They made many friends over the years both with the,'regulars,' as well as vacationers. People would always stop by for a morning cup of coffee and to,'talk story,' as conversation is known to locals.
We hope that you will feel some of the Aloha that this home has seen over the years.
Mahalo nui loa for staying with us.
Since we are,'locals,' you will not have to call the mainland or deal with a property management firm if you run into problems. We both live less than 20 minutes away and will be there if the need arises. We have lived in Kona for the last 15 years. We know the area. We know the people. Please don't hesitate to call if you have any questions during your stay.
Hi Eric & Nikki,
We enjoyed our first stay to Hawaii very much - living in your perfctly equipped house was great and very comfortable. Likely we will come again - next year???? Till then - thanks for all ..... and in Germany, we say " Auf Wiedersehen ", the Kraemer-Family
We had an excellent time there. The townhouse was clean and stocked with all we needed. Eric was very accommodating when when needed a late check out and then when our daughter needed an extra day. Close to everything you could want including wonderful snorkeling and a spot to watch incredible sunsets! The pool, tennis courts and gas grills were all well maintained!
This unit is conveniently located in Keauhou, near Keauhou bay, where my dive master docks his zodiac. It is not crazy busy like Kona, so my family had a nice and quiet vacation. The place was well maintained and clean. They had a good selection of snorkeling gears, bodyboards, beach chairs, mats, a lot of extras in the back storage. The owners were really nice and hospitable. Thank you for the Kona coffee, cookies and nice note left in the kitchen. Also, giving the kids neat necklaces! It is also near Keauhou shopping center where Sam Choy's restaurant is located. Overall, I would recommend this property to my friends and family.
My family and I stayed here for 11 days in March. We liked the townhouse. Great location... lots of space... nice lanai... great property... excellent tennis courts. But the townhouse could have been cleaner, and there were plenty of cockroaches. Now I know its tropical on the Big Island so some bugs were to be expected, but every day we killed cockroaches. And one even found its way onto my daughters bed. An exciting event! A centipede ended up in my shorts. Yikes! Overall we had a good time, just be sure to expect the townhouse will not be spotless, and there will be a few bugs running around inside.
This was our first time staying in this complex. The complex is very well maintained with beautiful landscaping, a swimming pool, tennis courts and shoreline access. The townhouse was very roomy and comfortable, and had all of the comforts of home. There was no need to rent or bring tennis equipment, boogie boards or snorkel equipment. The full kitchen and outdoor grills made it convenient to prepare meals. We had a wonderful relaxing week and would highly recommend this property. The process of making the reservation and the responsiveness to any questions was excellent. We also appreciate the welcome flowers and goodies. Thank you so much.
We arrived around midnight. Directions for reaching and opening the gates/doors were accurate and precise. Everything was exactly as described. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, well appointed, appliances functional. Detergent/shampoo/soaps/towels plentiful. Washer dryer worked like a dream.
Each morning we woke to the sound of sweet birdsong. Sat in the lanai for morning tea/coffee. Ocean is about three minutes walk. Car could be parked at doorstep. Location great for accessing highways. Shopping: not too far.
50" Flat screen Toshiba TV, DVD player with a large stock of DVD's books. Though we had to check out by 11 AM on the last day, the owner permitted us to stay till 7 PM without additional charge as we had a flight out at 10 PM. We plan to go again. Recommended for everyone who has comfort in mind at a budget price.
