Villa Ernestina A is a 140-square-meter (about 1,507 square feet) villa which sleeps six people. It has terraces, pool and a garden with a beautiful view of the sea. The villa is 1 km (0.6 mile) from the center of Positano. There are three bedrooms with air-conditioning, two bathrooms, a large living-room, and a kitchenette. The villa is two-storey high, and all the rooms have a splendid view of the sea and Positano.

Once at Villa Ernestina A, you will be about 1 km from Positano and close to the bus stop of the local minibus (shuttle) to the center of Positano and of the SITA bus which offers the Sorrento-Positano-Amalfi line. The nearest shops are about 1 km (0.6 mile) away from the house. You will be in a central position, convenient to visit both the Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. You will be able to enjoy the intense tourist life of Positano and its meeting-places, shopping streets, and restaurants. Daily and nightly ferries, hydrofoils, and mini cruises to the coast, Capri and Ischia islands, Amalfi, Sorrento, and Naples leave from Positano. The SITA bus connects all the towns of the coast and takes you to Pompeii, Herculanum, Paestum, and the Reggia (Royal Palace) of Caserta. From Villa Ernestina A, mountain trekking enthusiasts can easily reach the famous trail which crosses the top of the mountains of the Amalfi Coast. The trail unravels through cliffs and breathtaking scenery.

    Security Deposit: Upon arrival at Villa Ernestina A the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 500, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.

  • A beautiful staircase leads to the upper floor, where there are three bedrooms and one bathroom with bathtub. All the bedrooms look out on the sea. One bedroom is double and the other two are twin. All bedrooms have air-conditioner. The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower as well. The corridor has a corner with a sink, a small fridge, and a stove. You can prepare a cup of coffee or tea without having to go downstairs!

Notes: You enter Villa Ernestina A by climbing 43 steps found on the street where you park your car. A small and gracious paved garden overlooking the sea lies in front of the entrance of the villa. In the garden, among flowers and climbing plants, there is even a barbecue! When entering the house, you will find a spacious and bright living-room elegantly furnished in white. There is an age-old fireplace with couches and armchairs around it, a corner with a card-table, and an area furnished with a dining-table. The kitchen, which is reached from the living-room, is equipped with a four-burner stove, an oven, and a fridge with freezer. The living-room has a balcony and windows overlooking the sea. There is also a large and elegant bathroom with shower on this floor.

The shared garden and swimming-pool: As guests at Villa Ernestina A you will have a garden with a quite fascinating view of the coast and the sea available to you. The garden consists of small areas of terraced land arranged on several levels along the rocky coast which are linked by stone stairways and little trails. Olive and carob trees create a shaded area and an elegant frame to an enchanting view of the sea and the coast. The shape of the swimming-pool respects one of the terraced areas of the land, and it seems to be as if attached to the rock. A gracious fountain in statue-shape adorns the swimming-pool and overlooks a splendid scenery consisting of the sea and Positano. You will enjoy having so much beauty before your eyes while you allow yourself to be cradled gently by the waters of the swimming-pool… The swimming-pool is 11m x 6m (about 36 x 20 feet) large, and it is open all year round. The garden and the swimming-pool are shared with guests of other two apartments, Suite Ernestina and Villa Ernestina B.

The private terrace: In order to experience such marvellous place, Villa Ernestina A has a patio covered by a pergola of Bougainvillea, a balcony on the first floor, and a magnificent 70-square-meter (753 square meter) terrace on the second floor. The terrace, which faces the bedrooms, is shaded by a pergola and furnished with tables, chairs, and sun loungers.

The beach: From Villa Ernestina A, you can reach a beach found in a picturesque inlet of a half-moon shape. You can reach the beach by either taking a 270-step path or by sea. During summer, you can rent umbrellas, deckchairs, and even maritime transportation (small boats) to the center of Positano. Nearby there are other beaches reachable with the local bus.
