You won't want to go home
We spent two weeks at this fabulous villa and didn't want to go home. The accommodation is luxurious and spacious and the house is well equipped with all the amenities you could need. The view from the balcony over the golf course and the ocean is gorgeous. Watch carefully and you can see whales spouting and breaching. Lounging there in the sunshine with a book and a cold drink was heavenly and, in the evening, sipping cocktails as the sun sank behind the island on Lanaki was quite magical.
And there's no shortage of things to do. The nearby beaches are wonderful for snorkelling, bathing and paddle boarding. Turtles frequent several of the beaches and seem unperturbed by swimmers and snorkellers. A resort shuttle is available to pick you up and bring you home - you simply phone them when you need a ride. The Tennis Centre is a short walk away and offers drop-in sessions where you can meet and play with other people and they will also help set you up with playing partners. For golfers there are three top notch courses (though you will need deep pockets if you want to play there several times.) There's a coastal walk that combines stunning views with your exercise and several inland walks for the more energetic.
Maui itself has lots to see. Our highlights included a walk round historic Lahaina, a whale watching cruise (not to be missed if you're there in whale watching season), a visit to the A&B Sugar Museum, a bike ride down the slopes of Haleakela and, of course, the drive to Hana.
All in all, a fabulous vacation. Thoroughly to be recommended.
