Ski:
Borovets is Bulgaria's oldest ski resort but now is its most modern.It is huddled among the pine forests of the Rila mountain range and its highest pistes are 2600 metres. It has 45 kilometres of pistes of varying difficulties and lengths. It has twice hosted World Cup competitions in alpine skiing. Pistes are maintained to a high standard and there are also facilities for snowboarding; night skiing; cross country skiing; ski jumps and skidoo. There are nursery slopes, runs for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers. There are many ski schools, equipment hire shops and ski storage facilities throughout the village.
