This unique and tranquil renovation has allowed the current property to become part of a new chapter in the History of Downtown Wilmington. A destination created that offers peace and privacy in the heart of Wilmington's Historic District and all within two blocks of the World Renowned River walk. Forget the car and walk to all that Downtown Wilmington has to offer. This property is in a great downtown location with really close parking, one block walk to downtown, and is still relatively quiet. It had everything I needed, including all kitchen appliances and w/d, comfortable bed, TV, and a nice bathroom, as well as being nicely decorated and clean. The owner made for easy transactions and property entrance. The place is small, but when you are so close to downtown and the beach, there is really nothing more a person needs.

This place is ideally located, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable for a single person or a couple. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a cozy place to stay in Wilmington, and I hope that I will get a chance to stay there again.

great apartment and city

just returned to brooklyn snow after a wonderful mid-week getaway. the apartment is cozy, warm and has many interesting and artful touches. amenities included a convenient coffee maker, bottled water and a bottle of wine, wifi... the apt. is located right in historic downtown, so we basically parked the car(parking included in the rental) and walked around all day. many good restaurants, bars, brew pubs, music, shops, etc. jumped in the car for 20 minutes to walk and lunch on the beach in wrightsville beach, and to spend the evening listening to four great reggae bands at the rusty nail bar(about 2 miles away).
overall a terrific experience. the ease of the rental process and the beautiful apartment made for a great winter getaway. wilmington and its 60 degree weather added to the fun. hope to do it again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Charming and classy

This is a great property! The owner really had a nice touch with appointments and detail. The location was awesome as you could enjoy downtown entertainment and food. Wish I could have stayed longer but someone else got a chance to enjoy it.
This property is great for one person over an extended period or a couple for a weekend. Anything longer than that and it would become very cramped. That said I would definitely stay here again or recommend others to stay here.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Thank you for noticing and commenting on the attention to detail. As the hardwood floors are actually reclaimed wood pulled directly from the Cape Fear River (which is located just a block away). Also, the artwork is from local artists as well. The Queen size bed is made completely by hand from a craftsman from the Asheville area and the wood is organic. I also wish it would have worked out for you to stay longer than the three weeks that you were able...but hopefully when your travels bring you back to Wilmington you will find your way back to my little condo by the river.
